Are you actually going to sit here and pretend that reddit doesn’t have nominally accepted stances that diverge from the general population due to the demographics of reddit, and that such a demographic majority would not create an echo chamber?

That’s the fucking point. OF COURSE reddit would side with this ad. Bodily autonomy, misanthropy, “you owe nobody anything,” “fuck the boomers,” are all main line redditisms. It’s the perfect storm and acting like this sentiment that’s being championed here is representative of the general population shows how out of touch you are. But yes, this echo chamber will lead you to believe otherwise.

If you asked a random person on the street “should you let your family remembers make you feel uncomfortable by touching you?” Most would say no.

If you should them this ad, I guarantee most would then say something to the effect of “Wait, that’s what your talking about? A hug from your grandma?” Then they would roll their eyes and start judging you for being such a sensitive loser.

yes i will sit here and say that. this is a PSA that has been playing for awhile in Ireland. There’s a reason you haven’t heard about it before- normal people understand the point of the PSA. have a great night buddy.
