Yep, it hasn't fully taken effect yet because these things simply take time, but a lot of the world is slowly decoupling themselves from the US in terms of finance, software/tech, defense, travel, towing the line on foreign policy.

The US is going to find its international importance and influence greatly diminished before too long.

Maybe the orange clown did the world a favour by reminding everyone not to put too much trust in a supposed ally.

The US used to balance regulation with innovation in such a way that the rest of the world could ride it's coat tails to modernity. Then the corporations captured the government.

That’s you.

They made the valid point that if you prove yourself to be an unreliable or untrustworthy ally, your allies will take steps to protect themselves from you.

Why are you making it sound like you think European states haven’t tried launching domestic payment processors many times over the last several decades? Do you actually think this has never happened before?

Do you think the same about social media? That European firms haven’t launched thousands of competitors?

And how have they not been reliable? What?

You’re absolutely right; if you could read at all you’d see I didn’t make any points, and that was my first comment. Someone else made points to you.
