WERO is actually based on the dutch Ideal. We have had it for years now.

ACKSHUALLY Wero is based on Payconiq, with iDEAL providing the online e-commerce framework.

Wero wouldn't be what it was today without the other.

Only con with ideal compared to visa/mastercard. Is you can't do chargebacks.

That explains why a dutch online store was the first that I found that accepts WERO. At least here in Germany there are still very few places that accept it.

In the Netherlands they're now working on introducing the new name. So payment options for websites will call it Ideal/Wero
