This is a coverup by a bunch of evil racist cowards

But they’ve always been cowards! That’s what the hooded sheets were about, now they’re running around here in balaclavas /ski masks etc., because they KNOW the shit they’re doing and “stand” for is morally wrong!

Okay, risking massive downvotes here because rightfully people are outraged, and I do personally think some shady shit has not yet fully come to light, and it could very very very well be one out of many racist murders, but 10-20%ish of drowning victims don’t have water in the lungs from what’s known as “dry drowning” where the throat closes up but they still suffocate. It’s still not getting oxygen to the brain and still death.
Again, could still have been murder or even worse, but just saying that alone isn’t a sure thing. Some dumb network tv crime show had that as a plot point and I looked it up after because it seemed exaggerated but seemed to be legit.

Some shady shit is absolutely happened here. I believe he was murdered, but at the very least a horrible accident they're covering up.
However, I do think it is a disservice to Nolan to staunchly argue he did not drown, when he very well could of. It's the other facts, the head trauma, the cell data, etc, that provides a better argument against his death being an accidental drowning.
The Wells family deserves justice and I feel making arguments against something that is scientifically possible will make it easier for people to dismiss as conspiracy theories.

Legit question. Why do a lot of people see something nefarious here? I get the optics but I have yet to see or hear anything that pointed to anything other than some accident (accidental drowning caused by 🤷🏿). I see all the data points people throwing out but none of them mean much or add up to a fact pattern that equals “somebody murdered this man or someone is covering it up.
What am I missing here ?

Snapchats sent to other people were deleted not his data, people delete snaps all the time

u/Mother_Patience_6251 26d ago
But Nolan didn’t delete them. That’s the issue.

u/foogassi 25d ago
They weren’t deleted from his phone. The person on the other end of snap convo deleted them. Media likes to tell things a certain way to get the public riled up. Again, I’m not saying he wasn’t murdered, I’m just stating facts.

Garrett said at the news conference Thursday that some snap messages had been deleted. He did not specify whether the senders deleted those messages on their own phones, but he made clear that he could not ascribe intent to those deletions. There was no evidence presented showing someone had unlocked Wells’ phone after it left the island and before the family took possession

Forensic evidence shows there were messages intentionally deleted from his Snapchat post mortem. This is all available with a quick google search.

Absolutely false. It’s 1 - 2% of drowning cases that are considered dry drowning.

Please explain how this could have happened in Nolan’s case.
It is astoundingly unlikely he dry drowned by accident. With a head injury. With data deleted.
All the evidence and all the loss of key evidence and all the kids and parents - something horrible happened to Nolan that they are not telling the truth about. The fact that he was the only black kid is so fucked up.
This is racist injustice.

No water or debris in his lungs means he was not breathing while in water. Dead before he hit the water
→ More replies (1)3
u/HLS1049 24d ago
Also I read he hit his head. The autopsy shows the back of his head. Being hit where he apparently hit his head, can cause death. Google it. I think what these boys are guilty of is leaving the kid behind and not making sure he wasn’t seriously hurt. I don’t believe there’s foul play here. This has been turned into a race issue. This has nothing to do with race. Traumatic brain injury and dumb kids. Period

Two things don't sit well with me:
1. No water in lungs when 90+% of drowning deaths have water in airways.
2. Nolan was a very social person who doesn't disappear from a group. Yet his friends are the last and only people to confirm they saw him at 3:30pm. No one on that whole island can confirm that they saw Nolan after his friends take off?

For your first point the one thing to consider is that he was in the warm water for 2 days before he was found. When decomposition happens, water tends to drain or mix with other fluids in the body, making it impossible to identify water in the airways. Drowning is already a cause of death that is not directly proven it is a diagnosis of exclusion, putrefaction makes it even more difficult if not impossible to diagnose drowning. There is no other obvious cause of death, according to both autopsies, given the circumstances he was found in it is likely he drowned though how that occurred it unknown.

No water in lungs blunt force trauna to the back of the head

u/Desperate_for_Bacon 25d ago
The blunt force trauma was superficial and wouldn’t have killed someone. Even the families autopsy agreed with that.

u/joesbagofdonuts 26d ago
The bruising on his head was not a fatal injury though. He didn't die of a blow to the head.
2
u/DAntoinette_Travel 26d ago
He didn’t drown either!
2
u/Desperate_for_Bacon 25d ago
Drowning in it of itself is a cause of death that cannot be proven, it is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning they take the situation the body was found in and a lack of other causes of death and can determine it was a drowning. Lack of water in the airways does not mean he dry drowned, his body was in warm water for 2 days this rapidly increases the rate of putrefaction which likely would have cause any liquid in the airways to redistribute.
There is no other obvious cause of death, likely he drowned, however it’s impossible to say for certain, how he drowned is a better question.

Look even if Mississippi doesn’t want to label it a race killing can we at least get a possible homicide? I mean this for sure should point to him being dead before being put in the water right? I’m just saying even if he was killed due to his race can they at least say it was jealousy over a girl or some shit. It is almost like that state doesn’t want to change its image smh.
2
u/Desperate_for_Bacon 25d ago
There is no evidence of foul play, and all the evidence still points to a likely drowning.

Remember, the killers and the local PD covered up ahmaud arbery’s killing for months and the great minds of Reddit helped carry water until the very end, insisting he was thief.
Some of these people acting like experts on drowning also think Derek chauvin was wrongfully convicted for George Floyd’s death.
And according to grand jury findings, Breonna Taylor just mysteriously died from bullets—no one responsible there!
Y’all call the paranoia of black people just a feeling or vibes, but it’s a repeating and consistent pattern of injustice that’s existed since the birth of the nation and society at large has never exhibited a will to stop it. Your ignorance and apathy helps bad people continue to get away with bad things.
You won’t do anything to help undo generational harm. You oppose any solution to issues caused by racism that doesn’t benefit white people more than black people. The only time you speak up about racism is to complain about black people calling it out. Grief and paranoia is all that your fathers and forefathers left us and you won’t even shut the fuck up about that—as if it’s unfair to you.

Who says that two blows to the base of the skull didn’t create “major injuries”? Those two contusions were enough to create bruises which means there was some internal bleeding. But the ME didn’t bother to take photos? And withheld Body parts/organs?

I’m gonna type that into YouTube and see what happens. I once typed in George floyd didn’t die from an overdose and suddenly every video I tried to watch became unavailable for like 12 hours. When I signed out though the videos played just fine.
