Funny how Bitcoin isn’t real money but if you sell it for a gain or receive it as payment there are very real taxes attached 🙄

No catch. The bank: "Cash is just printed money." 🙄

That monkey’s seen some things. When the pile of cash needs its own armed guard you know the system’s working great.

That monkey has the face of someone who just realized he's the only one working tonight.

at least Bitcoin has a math limit

Capped supply. What is M2 money capped at? The only thing certain in life is death, taxes, and 21 million.

Perpetual government coin clipping

0

u/IamSuperChux 1d ago

FDIC insured. Remind me again what happens if your bitcoins get stolen?

1

u/BorgerMoncher 23h ago

You lose those bitcoins. Security is paramount.

Are your bank balances insured against government coin clipping? Methinks the FDIC does not cover that theft.

Government created inflation

1

u/Janus67 22h ago

Inflation (ideally low, but still present) is an important aspect of a functioning economy.

Not knowing if your dollar is worth more or less today or tomorrow or the next week gets people to not spend money and economies collapse.

Worse off, people spend their money right away especially if the currency is experiencing hyperinflation because there is no point in saving in a money that is become worthless overtime.

1

u/Janus67 5h ago

Yes, but what I was referring to was not hyperinflation

u/IamSuperChux 1d ago

The banks:

"Are you saying we are getting some competition in the market?"

2

u/xsake1001 16h ago

Made up money: the one with a fixed supply of 21 million. Real money: whatever number the printer lands on today

1

u/phuktup3 7h ago

Hmmm digital asset based on printed fiat - it’s really faith based at the end of the day. Just hoping someone else takes it for the shit you want

In god we trust hits a little different

1

u/Rydog_78 1d ago

The bank: sssh don’t tell anyone

1

u/JayGatsby1881 1d ago

The only reason people use us dollars is because the government can through threat of force tell you that's what you must use for currency. For example, most of the oil in the world must be bought in us dollars because the us said so.

Post 1971, the petro-dollar is indeed keeping the USD relevant. The contract was: accept exclusively USD for oil, and US will provide military security. That contract is now permanently broken. The unraveling has begun.

That printer lmaoooo

1

u/leadingzeros 20h ago

Ok, ok, it does not have to be money as long as its value is rising.

1

u/Flaky-Art1175 13h ago

The catch is banks create money by debt, not just printing.

0

u/ConversationOk74 1d ago

Yeah banks don't even print money, that's how great they are at it. You idiots publish contracts for labor and this is called wages. Banks just keep the current flowing. With interest.

Bank "money" is conjured out of thin air. When a bank issues a loan for a house or car that money is created, when the loan is paid off, it is destroyed.

The problem is when too many loans go bad, the house of cards falls apart. Please look into the savings and loan fiasco of the early 2000s.

The book "The Creature From Jekyll Island" by Edward Griffin is pretty good.

1

u/chairoverflow 1d ago

are you being pedantic as bank doesn't print the money, they create credit money in digital form? or do you disagree with the general claim that banks indeed create money?

Inflation dosent effect us

1

u/QuietWolf934 1d ago

what is even inflation?

3

u/WhoAmIADev 1d ago

Inflation is the increase in the average price of goods and services over time, measured using a price index like the consumer price index (CPI). When inflation rises, each unit of money buys fewer things, so money’s purchasing power falls. Wikipedia

1

u/BorgerMoncher 1d ago

You're conflating inflation with price levels. Inflation is printing money. Price levels follow, ceteris paribus.

1

u/WhoAmIADev 22h ago

No im not, im telling you that moneys purchaseing power weakens overtime and bitcoins dosent
