Battlefield 1 Battlefield 1 is now 10 years old
This is, in my opinion, my favorite Battlefield game. The unique setting, the iconic maps, the solid campaign, the unsettling immersion, and so much more is what made this game a masterpiece.

BFV is a good game lmao
Rocky launch, and first couple years but hit its stride right before they axed it.. Breakthrough on V is peak, and had a ton of great ideas (Crouch run, Squad Reinforcements, Fortification Building, Good maps, etc).

I need a sequel to this. Maybe feature some other phases and locations of ww1.

A 1920s expansion would be a great opportunity to cover obscure conflicts that continue off of BF1 factions + introducing new factions
- the British in the 1919 Anglo-Afghan War
- the Turks (no longer Ottomans) in the Greco-Turkish War
- the French in the Rif War, introducing Spain and Berber tribes
- the Russian Red Army in the Polish-Soviet War
- and something I wished was included in the Tsar DLC was the Japanese intervention in Siberia against the Russian Red Army
Going into the 1930s would’ve also been a good opportunity to include Italy’s invasion of Ethiopia, the Spanish Civil War, and Japan’s invasion of Manchuria. And even broaden out to South American conflicts such as the (Bolivian-Paraguayan) Chaco War and the (Brazilian) Paulista War.

In my head this is still a somewhat “new”

extraordinary graphics but i never understood the hype. none of these games have ever come even remotely close to recapturing the feeling of bc2 or bf3 for me

Eh.. I kind of found the whole experience boring and a bit too casual for my liking. The single player was pretty good actually though

The gameplay sucks but the production is top notch

Wym the gameplay sucks...?
Are you talking exclusively about bullet deviation (bloom) or talking about everything in the game (gameplay cycle)?

Im not the person you responded to but it is probably one of the worst battlefields in terms of gunplay. I dont think it sucks and was one of my favorite battlefields but its just a slow paced game with some wonky mechanics. The suppression system, bloom and sweetspot for some guns is not fun. Then on top of that, the grenade/dynamite/explosive spam is pretty terrible on some maps. Then the heavy tank and attack plane are insanely overpowered on a lot of maps. I can hop in a heavy tank by myself and got 0 deaths to 100 kills easy in a match due to the fast self repair mechanic. Same goes for the attack plane.
Bf1 is an amazing game and they nailed the atmosphere but the gameplay has a lot of issues that I think people look back on with rose colored glasses.

I love how when I want to feel that good old battlefield vibe i can always go back to 1. I love comparing it to whatever this BF6 is suppose to be. I feel like battlefield is no longet battlelfield, its just a new cod-style entry game with cheap vehicles.
