Panera used to be pretty good. Now I'd rank it below hospital food.

Not all hospital food is bad. It's pretty damn good sitting in one right now. Taste better than alot of mega chain food.

I spent over three months in a U.S. Army hospital in S.E. Asia years ago.  Food was okay but I got a beer every day after I was off IVs.  Not bad for 17 (turned that in the hospital).  Everyone else got one beer a week.

The hospital near me has a Panera in the lobby.

The actual hospital cafeteria is significantly better.

My girlfriend is a CNA and I go eat dinner with her sometimes at work. The cafeteria at our big(ish) hospital is BANGIN. They have amazing soups and sometimes they do a friend shrimp and fries meal with homemade coleslaw and I beg her to get me one and bring it home when they do haha.

Idk if they got Gordon Ramsey back there or what, but that cafeteria knows ball.

Just got done with heart surgery over a week in here. Going home now. Lunch was chicken Marsala. Fantastic but cheese go figure..I will do better when it comes to cheeses and other bad things to eat.

I will admit the last time I had hospital food it was better than expected/I remembered.

Funny enough, the Hospital I work in, had a Panera in it too! (it's since gone out of business)

Ugh, we used to go there all the time because the kids would eat it, so I had a front row seat for their decline. If I never go there again it would be too soon.

We used to have a joke that you know a neighborhood was nice if there was a Panera - not so much any more.
