You don't like refinancing your house to pay for a sandwich?

This is because they don’t make their bread in house anymore. Used to be the bread was super fresh and there was a bakery counter and a food counter b

Insulting for a place with "pan" in its name to have the worst bread in the world

When my old company would let us group order lunch from them,  we had a $20 and it was impossible to get a sandwich and a drink under that. That crazy for what they offer. I would never pay to eat at Panera.

I made the mistake of ordering it on Doordash the other day. $30 for a bowl of Lasagna Soup and a Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich. The "Bowl" of soup was $10 and super small and the $15 sandwich was meh. I should have known better, but I was craving soup after seeing a bunch of FB Reel recipes and one was a lasagna soup, and it seemed like kismet that Panera had it available right when I craves it. Never again

Ngl it prolly was panera promoting a lasagna soup recipe on fb just so you got the idea of doordashing it from them

The Bacon Turkey Bravo was my go-to order. I still pass by Panera and long for that sandwich, but the last time I got it with a side of Mac n Cheese I paid ~$20 for the meal and realized what a waste that was. When the only thing going for the sandwich that separates it from something you can easily make at home is the bread and dressing, there’s no justifying that price.

Panera’s downfall by Private Equity is going to be in a textbook someday.

Ngl your bigger mistake was ordering anything from DoorDash in the first place.

Paying like double for food that’s been sitting on their counter for who knows how long.

idk if this is a regional thing but the only time i got panera in last few years is because theyre currently offering a buy one get one soup on doordash. i got two cups of soup for $8 which is super cheap for panera lol.

$15-$20 dollar sandwiches are basically the norm everywhere that isn't a one off corner deli at this point, but even a lot of those places are losing their mind.

Panera's motto should be "spend $20 and go home hungry".

It was always like that. I remember going as a poor college student in 2011, paying $20 for not very much food, and still being hungry at the end. That was the last time I ate there, although I've had their catering a few times.

Food is okay, but not even close to worth the price.
