Sonic's. The food quality is terrible and the place lacks modernization. Literally looks like a nuclear fallout shelter whenever I go to one.

Dude how to you fuck up mozzarella sticks? Anytime I've gone there now everything tastes old and stale.

The guy taking my order insulted me and started cursing because I asked him how he was doing. Literally scared me away from ever going to one. The customer service is awful.

They started paying their car hops $2 something an hour. (Tip wage)

I used to work at sonic 20ish years ago and made 5.25 + tips. You make less than that now.

I dont even go to sonic anymore.. dogs are dehydrated, tots are in the same oil as deep fried sweet.. something.. so they taste awful and its over priced food. Rip sonic.

I couldn’t believe how bad their chicken nuggets were. Worse than a generic brand of frozen nuggets from the supermarket.

Omg the change to their fries is like a fucking travesty.

For me it’s when they stopped battering their rings on-site. Their rings used to be amazing.

Sometimes I get a craving but then remember they fucked up their fries. You can get big bags of the old version in the supermarket that's right next door to my local Sonic, so I get those instead.

Yeah, Sonic makes me mad. All of their fried items are hard as rocks and stale at every location and the beef always tastes freezerburned.

Their only saving grace is their drinks, which is now the only reason I ever go there.

Once they changed their whole branding to be tacky American themed it was over

Thing is, they probably get ton of Boomer+ business from that since they're trying to be "Remember the 50's?" the restaurant.

Since old people can't taste very well anymore, the blandness of the food isn't noticed.

The one in our area was shutdown for a week, just a week, because there was a full blown fentanyl operation running out of it. It was like everyone was involved.

Wow, I thought ours was bad due to staffing. You never knew from one week to the next if you'd get your food in a decent amount of time or if would take an hour because everyone but the manager quit again. One time the drive-thru line got so long that I was literally trapped in a stall.

I used to love my Sonic's. Sigh.

They painted the one near me earlier this year. Still cinder blocks but now with fresh paint!

Not sure I’ve ever had the food there. I’m strictly a shlushie guy

But I guarantee if they ever attempt to refresh their brand, the internet will come at them in arms.

Their fries have improved radically lately, like better than Five Guys and McDonald's

That was 15 years ago.

80’s Sonic was unreal how good it was. Their onion rings especially. Now it tastes like they use pancake batter for them and don’t keep them in the fryer long enough.

The chain essentially fell apart when they laid off their entire Oklahoma City headquarters

They no longer have Real Ice Cream, popcorn chicken, all day half priced drinks, and much more. 💔

Yeah I stopped going to Sonic a while ago. Every time I had it the fries or anything fried tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in years.

They took frozen lemonade off the menu, I have no reason to go now. Fuck Sonic (the restaurant, not the hedgehog).

There is one near me that I have no idea how it is still open. They dont seem to utilize the drive in stalls and there are literally no outside lights on at night. I honesty throught it was out of business until one night I was curious and circled the building and saw an employee in there!

Just today I saw a OUT OF BUSINESS Sonic as I drove by on a busy street and the former place was NOW a used car lot. So neat. Each used car had their own individual stall with the specifications/pricing etc. in the location where the actual (if open) sonic MENUS order would be. And then, if you were interested in a particular vehicle in one of the stalls, you then 'pressed' the button and someone would asssit you with your questions etc. I thought it was a pretty good use of property.

Yes. The ones near me in MD are always broken down, randomly closed, or have some cardboard sign with a note scratched out in sharpie telling you that something’s broken or not available.
