Airbnb hosts need to quit whining.
Either charge more to cover cleaning expenses or do their own clean up.

“Oh no the hundreds of dollars I make a night will be slightly lessened if I can’t make my guests also be my cleaning crew and then pay me for the privilege”

Less journalism, more bait bucket. At this point the headline is doing BJJ in the gi and the facts are just hanging out in the lobby.

I'm fine with doing my chores. If I made a mess, it's my mess, I'll clean it. No cleanup should be optional if available and extra charge.

They're not your homes. They're your businesses. Start acting like a business owner. You have to take care of it yourself. If you don't like it, get out of the business.
Personally, I don't see any reason why Airbnb shouldn't be completely banned. These are businesses being run in a residential neighborhood and not zoned as a business. This also removing HOMES from the available inventory. HOMES that people could actually live in.
