I know how people see this, but just a little heads up. Bioware you know and love, aint the bioware that was shut down. The studio you loved was long time gone. It wasnt around for actual decade at least.
The Bioware that was shutdown, is the Bioware that created Veilguard.
And just a remind, a point of business is to make money, and so if you dont bring money, you are out.
Idk why people continue to have love and faith in an studio. Most do massive layoff and rehires every few years to the point that a studio that made that game you really love is wildly different a few years later. Not all, but most.
The Bioware that was shutdown, is the Bioware that created Veilguard.
Moreover, it's the Bioware that made Anthem before that. As an entity they're lucky they survived that debacle. The writing has been on the wall for a long time.
Of course, all you're saying makes sense, but it is as cold comfort as saying people die, it's part of life, and in a hundred years or so, all of us will join the dead.
Didn't the ME5 team have a bunch of veterans? I remember Jason Schreier reporting something about that, how Veilguard was mostly done by a B Team while the A Team was on ME5.
