The new games wouldnt even fit on a damn disk that part of this is pretty f'ing stupid. I agree about compensation for titles thou.

That's debatable and wholly depends on how the devs are at optimizing look at every fromsoft game being smaller than all COD games or hell CD projekt red how they put Witcher 3 on the switch 1 cartridge and Cyberpunk 2077 on a switch 2 cartridge or do in 2 discs (which PlayStation has done for multiple titles at this point) FF7 Remake/Rebirth, Baldur's Gate 3 I believe Horizon Forbidden West as well.

That's not debatable. Not even remotely so. Firstly switch carts are based on sd card technology. They hold more then disks. GTA6 is 260gigs! More then 3x the blue ray capacity. RDR2 was 150 gigs. I've been actuivly working with ue developement and following major studios. Expect 150 to be the new base line. I have seen piplines targeting 300gig even. GTA5 a game now officially as old as time last I checked now stands at over a 150 gig install after it's fully inflated.

So it's impossible to have a data disk and a play disk?

IT's not feasible to print 40 disks and lock developer inside size constrained boxes. Want to be pro consumer.. Start with the developers needs to release quality content and cut shipping costs.

Want to be pro consumer that starts with killing a drive you won't be using for anything. There costs are your costs.

BTW seems that noboy is even talking about the fact they they can't even press blueray anymore. The rights expired. There are no blue rays for anything moving forward. And bearing that in mind seems they expect games to ship hard drives now. Rediculious .

Lol dev needs to release quality content? Expedition 33 was roughly 45gb. Devs are capable of releasing quality content that can fit on a disk. I'd just like a playable version on a disk. To think of the "dev needs" as you put it is inherently anti consumer in today's market when memory costs are literally at an all time high. I've only bought 2 games on release this year everything else has been after market eBay or local games stores used bin something you can't do with digital only market.

They can't even press the disk anymore. They legally cannot press the disk. Blue ray has had the rights revoked. The medium is done. This is a idiotic complaint. And where not making old games were making new games with new requirements.

None of this is feasible. It would only result in more expensive games. Then all the Europeans would bitch about that to when it happened.

Lol ok mister/missus/whatever your preference "I work in the industry I know more than you but I can't use the right form of where/were or we're". I assure it's not done. Especially considering Nintendo is still making first party games on cartridges

You don't know anything. And I seriously doubt you work for the industry. I work for the industry. And yes they are done. Suggest otherwise and your merely showing your ignorance. Its a google search away and you would double down on that fact.
