With disk it still was. The Playstation store is the only place to get digital Playstation games, it sounds weird right? But on Xbox you can use the xbox store, best buy, target, eneba, and a bunch of other places to buy codes.

No actually, ive bought a bunch of game keys from they places ive mentioned. If they wanted to do something like this the probably would have since their user base percentage on digital is bigger than sonys.

In the EU, you can install other app stores on iOS fairly easily because of their decision. It contributed to us being able to sideload at all elsewhere.

I see, So my would fight that tooth and nail so I'll believe it when I see it. I think special purpose device is different than general computing device. No one would make the same argument about a Roku or Amazon Firestick.
