Ya its like. Ok bitch are you going to pay ME to clean? Why am I expected to do dishes. Why am I expected to take the trash out. AND pay YOU a cleaning fee! A cleaning fee that's already insanely high. AND why am I even paying a cleaning fee? That's YOUR cost for doing business and WHY am I the one doing the cleaning to begin with?? Jesus

It could've worked if it was the other way around.

List prices all inclusive per day. Then if people charge exorbitant cleaning fees it'd immediately be obvious from the pricing.

The host can then decide if the cleaning fee is optional, and if you want to do it yourself the host requires you to do x, y, z.

Now you're not being fooled, you're made explicitly aware of the cost your labor and they also cannot double dip, nor hide pricing under huge extra add-on fees. Sounds like a win/win for me.

They need to make that extra money because they have to do a 3 minute walkthrough and make sure you did everything.
