It only works temporarily. About once every 1 to 2 months I have to purge my feed. YouTube really really wants to show me Minecraft and fnaf vids despite me not showing interest in the topics.

YouTube wants me to re-watch the same videos for some reason. They have over a decade (jfc) of my watch history and data, they need to figure their shit out.

I get that too a lot. Sometimes I don't mind it though, but other times old stuff completely dominated my recommendations. I swear it used to be way better over a decade ago and it just seems to get worse.

Same here. I blocked a specific Austin based financial YouTube guy because of the abuse he inflicts on people who just want help. 2 months later his crap is showing up on my feed again!

Thats weird, it works permanently for me. I've never once had to click that twice for the same channel.

You can dig into your Google account settings and disable a bunch of advertising and YouTube shit. My home view is completely disabled. I only follow channels that I actively choose to, instead of an algorithmic slop feed.
