This is why I can't believe these clowns when they keep insisting that they are somehow building an existential threat to humanity, bitch, y'all can't make a single dollar in profit.

Making a threat to humanity doesn't have to be profitable. You just need to be chasing the potential for profits enough to disregard safeguards

they're essentially assuming they can just trash their entire existence because it will all be over and a completely new paradigm anyway. They're just pulling out all the stops to get this one final solution.

Like a guy who thinks he's going to die and go to heaven tomorrow so he acts like it's his last day on earth and just spends his life savings and goes into massive debt and just doesn't care.

It's not about making money, its about the valuation. Making money can be problematic for the evaluation.

Because most of the loss is paper. It’s iacxou ting loss.

They issued debt paper at certain stock prize. Say $5 per stock. Then stock went to $50 so they have to record a loss of $45 per stock.

So $70 billions of that $80B is on paper. It’s actually indication of their success. And they do this before IPO so it doesn’t appear on earning statements because people don’t care about accounting and how it all works.

I’m sorry but none of this is right, at all. What a bullshit fucking comment…

Like what is not right? Sounds like you are full of it.

Source, Reuters article:

>Its first-half loss ... included a $72 billion accounting charge reflecting an increase in the estimated value of bonds that could eventually convert into Anthropic shares, rather than cash costs tied to its operations, the document said.

Don't even get me started on the IPO bullshit. The JOBS Act fucked public disclosure and stopped dragging companies public. Now these fuckers do all of their growing behind tender offers, and the IPO's only function is cashing out and leaving the public holding the bag that can only shrink.
