Clearly tech bros have never eaten tapas.

How are you supposed to B2B tapas sales?

186

u/ConfessSomeMeow 23h ago

TAAS - Tapas as a service!

76

u/Balsamic_ducks 23h ago

Are you satisfied with your current tapas provider?

64

u/Justin_123456 22h ago

Honestly, I’d love to go with someone else, but these tiny plates just keep coming and the disruption and switching costs just aren’t worth it.

9

u/sonofcroesus 21h ago

Sounds like you need to call McKinsey to help sort this out.

6

u/nixtunes 21h ago

If you give me 40 million, I can help save 35 million!

It's laying off staff. It's always laying off staff.

1

u/Justin_123456 20h ago

And replacing them with little bowls of shrimp?

2

u/nixtunes 20h ago

Shrimp? SHRIMP?

Are you mad? We'll replace it with barely functioning AI to push our consumers into a premium service package to synergize our revenue streams and maximize shareholder value.

I’ve got a tapas bar a block away from my house and they make delicious espresso martinis…so, yes.

1

u/t1kiman 18h ago

Might have to get a Tapas loan at 6.5% interest. They round it up to 8%, 6.5% is just the name of it, for all intensive purposes it's actually 8%.

1

u/Overall-Heart-8339 15h ago

ChatGPTapas?

9

u/aslander 18h ago

TAPAS is already an acronym for Tiny Ass Plates as a Service

1

u/phonethrower85 14h ago

Thanks I hate it.

72

u/Jelal 1d ago

Somebody had to learn something about B2B tapas sales after blowing $80 Billion in the first half of 2026.

2

u/O2XXX 1d ago

Clearly we need to ask Claude.

2

u/badgerj 22h ago

If you give me an 8Bil loan, I can show you! 🤣💀

2

u/isanass 11h ago

Wrong, give your LLC an 8bil loan and you can show them (and bail after spinning your wheels long enough that they just realize you're browsing Reddit all day and only throwing buzzwords around to appear relevant. Note: ensure your salary at the LLC is approximately 8bil/yr to ensure full benefit from your exploits).

1

u/badgerj 10h ago

Hahahhaha! Love it!

1

u/Argyleskin 21h ago

Hello there Basalmic, do you have a moment to talk about B2B tapas sales? My company is the leading tapas negotiator. Let’s jump on a quick 30 minute zoom call!
(LinkedIn messages come in handy haha!)

u/ben-hur-hur 23h ago

Patatas bravas is love

2

u/crimedog58 23h ago

more of a pintxos guy myself.

1

u/O2XXX 22h ago

Raise the evaluation of Spain another 20 billion.

2

u/TyruntasaurusRecht 21h ago

Tech bros dont eat food, they sustain themselves on crickets like the lizard people they are

2

u/Brave_Nerve_6871 19h ago

You just need to combine tapas with AI and there you go - double the size of Spanish economy via IPO

2

u/Fronesis 18h ago

Tapas are about the same price and you still won't be full.

2

u/QuietSilentArachnid 17h ago

Tech bros aren't even able to read stories to their kids. Having fun while eating ? No way

1

u/Bimblelina 5h ago

Now I really really want tapas

1

u/O2XXX 1h ago

Spains valuation just keeps rising.

1

u/Siegfoult 22h ago

It's pronounced tapas.

237

u/Opposite_Diamond_662 1d ago

That's comparing one year of GDP to a market capitalization. Spain is "worth" way more than 2 trillion in wealth/value

182

u/ArrogantAstronomer 1d ago

Okay one Portugal then

133

u/tenaciousdeev 1d ago

It's one Portugal, Michael. How much could it be worth? $10?

28

u/OldWar1111 22h ago

There's always money in the cured pig products.

3

u/Academic_Carrot_4533 22h ago

Don’t forget the magic acorns.

2

u/tailkinman 11h ago

And the sardines

4

u/RollingMeteors 1d ago

Okay one Portugal then

Best I got is the Dominican Republic and Cuba, but I'll throw in Puerto Rico for free.

6

u/100is99plus1 1d ago

Without the Algarve

3

u/Samaritan_978 19h ago

That considerably increases its value.

3

u/Excellent-Gur-8547 1d ago

Okay, but that's actually reasonable lol

59

u/howieyang1234 1d ago

If we give countries a PE ratio of 10, then it’s worth one Greece (GDP around 200 bln USD).

43

u/stevejobs4525 23h ago

Greece is a 6x pe at max, it's the Ford of countries

4

u/AGreasyPorkSandwich 15h ago

Not quite that reliable

1

u/baconboner69xD 13h ago

I’d say it’s a 1-2x max. Unless you want to buy it that is lol

14

u/Iazo 21h ago

I dunno man. I actually think that countries should be more PE. I think that Greece is going to be around for far longer than Anthropic.

That said, the GDP is not earnings. You would be looking at the national budget, which depends on each country, but a fair rule of thumb for a developed country would be 33% of GDP.

5

u/sfurbo 16h ago

That said, the GDP is not earnings. You would be looking at the national budget,

That's the "earning" of the state, not of the country.

4

u/gtwucla 1d ago

Should use S&Ps average PE. Can juice those numbers a bit more.

6

u/SirVixofthePooSea 22h ago

That is probably overvaluing Greece.

12

u/RollingMeteors 1d ago

That's comparing one year of GDP to a market capitalization. Spain is "worth" way more than 2 trillion in wealth/value

IDK man...

¿How many presidents have recently tried to buy it?

¡Tree fiddy mil, tops!

/s

u/[deleted] 19h ago

1

u/RollingMeteors 16h ago

>Is this a joke?

¿Are you referring to the amount or that it's for sale at all? /s

3

u/chiagod 22h ago

You say that now, wait till claude builds an even grander Sagrada Familia!

or turns into mecha Franco

74

u/dreamwinder 1d ago

If our investment system wasn’t as fraudulent as our politicians, the only people this shitpile could bring down are its insane investors. But it is, so they’ll all get bailed out.

3

u/ConfessSomeMeow 22h ago

GDP is not directly comparable to net worth.

3

u/LadyGaga_DrDre 21h ago
  • what the entire country of spain produces in a year.

GDP and Market cap measure 2 different things.

3

u/prcodes 20h ago

GDP is not at all comparable to market cap, what are you even talking about??

2

u/RollingMeteors 1d ago

anthropic is apparently more valuable than the entire country of spain

¿Anthropic!

¿Por qué no los dos... Equis?

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker 8h ago

Invest in the gdp of spain and then invest in Anthropic and come back in a decade.

1

u/JeanVicquemare 23h ago

It has to be, we have to keep propping it up and investing in it, because we have nothing else. That's what I think believers are thinking

1

u/OldWar1111 22h ago

I mean, that makes sense, but overall this is insane.

1

u/God_Dammit_Dave 22h ago

Bullshit. I've asked Claude for Cochinillo Asado recipes. Claude cooks like it was designed by the Welsh. Spain is wildly safe.

1

u/genreprank 22h ago

Fun fact: My salary is higher than the Prime Minister of Spain's

1

u/WhiteSock_ 18h ago

Now I was wondering how one could valuate a country. Are houses included? Because that’s surely over 500 trillion alone (conservative estimate).

1

u/Ok_Address_7205 18h ago

anthropic should buy barcelona and real madrid and play el classico everyweek to make profits /s

1

u/Omgbrainerror 14h ago

To be fair Spain is loosing money too!

0

u/BiZzles14 1d ago

Comparing the valuation of a company to the GDP of a country is like saying I'm richer than Bezos because he had a 70k salary from Amazon

0

u/joleshole 23h ago

Lol do you know anything about the Spanish economy? It’s not much really
