Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here
Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:
-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered.
-If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.
Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.
Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?
Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!
Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.
No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:
- What watch did you buy?
- When?
- How long did you wait?
- Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
- Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

My new toy
Daytona number 4. 3rd one from the AD. It's been a journey to say the least. Probably my last from the AD unless they call me with the Daytona 126502 released at Watches & Wonders this year.

Size check: 36mm or 40mm Day-Date?
Looking for some opinions on whether the 36mm or 40mm Day-Date would suit me better. For reference, I have a 7.25–7.5” wrist and currently daily the GMT-Master II 126710GRNR. The Day-Date pictured is the 36mm. Unfortunately, the AD didn’t have a 40mm available for me to try on, so I couldn’t compare them side by side. What do you guys think? Does the 36mm look proportionate, or would the 40mm be a better fit?

My first Rolex
Went grey on my holy grail. I find myself smiling every time I check the time! I’m thinking this will be my one and done luxury watch for at least 10 years or so :)

What a Different Experience
I’ve been looking at Explorers for a while, registered at 3 ADs who all told me 1-2 year wait (including one with a little spend history). Today I walked into a different AD and was greeted by who I later found out was the store director. She showed me the Explorer and a couple OPs, then a DJ. Finally she brought out the Land Dweller thinking I’d like it. While talking I mentioned that I was celebrating my military retirement and wanted something that would be a family heirloom. She mentioned her brother also being military. With all of the watches sitting in front of me I asked what the wait for each was. She said that 27 years of service was long enough to wait, and that I could take any of them I wanted with me today. I loved the LD, but it wouldn’t have been fiscally responsible as I just bought a car in August, so I walked out with the Explorer. It’s the one I’ve been wanting all along. No spend history, no games, just a person helping me celebrate closing a long chapter in my life.

Rolliworks And The Lazarus Treatment
Figured I’d share my experience with Rolliworks because they really did an awesome job.
When I bought my 116710LN, the bracelet was pretty scratched up. I took it to a local jeweler who said he could brush the whole thing for $40. Well, that was a mistake. 😂 It looked worse afterward, and I wasn’t sure if it could even be fixed.
Ended up sending it to Rolliworks, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The bracelet looks amazing compared to what I sent them. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
I also wanted to mention Mike, Vienna, and Chyna. They were great to deal with from start to finish. Communication was excellent, they always got back to me, kept me in the loop, and answered any questions I had. Really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I know Rolliworks gets mentioned on here quite a bit, but now I understand why.
If anyone’s thinking about using them, I’d definitely recommend it.

Finally pulled the trigger…Sub in the house
After waiting for over a year for the call from an AD that never came, went gray and Bob’s had what I wanted. Can’t say enough about the watch and Bob’s.

After buying a JLC Reverso at an AD in NYC - expected wait time for a mint green DJ 41?
Initially I wanted the DJ 41 with a mint dial, fluted on a jubilee. I still do. I met a nice AD and he registered my interest in the DJ, but also made it clear that it was a very high-demand piece (and I had no purchase history).
While waiting for the DJ for a couple months, I fell in love with JLC Reversos. I purchased an $18k gold Reverso from that AD. I love it and I'm super happy with it. But I'd still really like the mint green DJ41.
The AD said that after purchasing the Reverso, I should be first in line for the next mint green DJ41 that he receives. What can I expect in terms of wait time?

116710LN No Regrets
I'll be honest I was looking at a used sub, maybe 40mm, but got suckered in to buying a late 116710LN and after having it around a year now I have no regrets. I love this watch.

Almost Perfect
What’s your almost perfect daily driver ?
And what’s stopping it from being perfect
Don’t know if I am just too fussy or if it’s all watch geeks that have this problem but I am yet to find a watch that I genuinely think is truly perfect. I’d say a Rolex Pepsi comes close but then the bracelet lets it down as it doesn’t have the glide lock adjustment on the clasp like a Sub and that on the fly adjustment is seriously handy. Ghost (older ref) has the same problem and I don’t like the newer version with the gold around the bezel and slimmer indices. Takes the sporty look away from the watch and makes it more dressy.

Green Goodness
I really love the green goodness that Rolex has done with their dial on the Sky-Dweller. The starburst is so unique.

Grey market drop since 2022 peak (Rolex -33%, AP -52%, Patek -37%). Are dealers actually capitulating?
mapped out secondary market prices for the big three since 2020 and the bleed since early 2022 is pretty clear. ap got hit the hardest at -52% while rolex and patek are down around mid-30s. looks like we are finally flattening out near pre-bubble levels. for those dealing with ad's or grey market sellers lately, are you seeing real price cuts or are people just holding inventory waiting for a rebound?
