Agreed. I have had pro-Republican, anti trans ads running in my state repeatedly on tv, radio, Apple podcasts and YouTube for the past six months straight…all of the same person who transitioned as an adult in a state that is more than a full days drive away, and governed by republicans. A part of it is likely insecurity and fear of aging, but some have theorized that the plastic surgery they're getting is probably extremely expensive in spite of its extremely low quality and for some reason they wear this like a status symbol because "Oh only I can afford to look this inhumanly grotesque!"
