They really sneaked Anthem up there with those games?

I still remember in like 2021 they wanted to do a huge update and overhaul everything, but then cancelled it lol

But they legit WILL be remembered for Anthem. Just not in the way they wanted.

Anthem was gorgeous, but it was not finished.

They had the world, the visuals and the perfect gameplay.

But no end game or activities to do.

It is so sad, that game was just there, and they couldn't do the update.

I played Anthem when it came to gamepass (EA subscription thingy?). I know I finished the story, but I can't remember a minute of gameplay. The only gameplay I remember is watching a few seconds of the demo during one of the expo streams on YouTube.

The gameplay was awesome, feeling of movement, raining bullet, explosions.

Just that there was no meaningful progression to it. They proposed a decent revamp, but it was not accepted.

Anthem had so much potential, the combat/gameplay felt awesome and super satisfying. But there was absolutely 0 content to enjoy said gameplay with, if they woulda kept working on it I think it would have been as big as the destiny franchise frankly (which is exactly what they were going for but did the classic EA and just wasted loads of money, rushed it out, and then gave up almost immediately after making promises they never intended on keeping. Woulda been the best iron man game ever without even being iron man lmao

may take is they put it up there for the devs who still work at Bioware.

Only mentioning games they never worked on would have also been pretty poor form.

I liked Anthem. The flying in and out of combat and stuff was very interesting and there is nothing like it. They just never let a single update actually come out and it failed due to them simply not supporting it any further by canning the few things they were supposedly working on

Honest to God I cracked up when I saw Anthem’s name in that list. What an absolute shitstain to leave us with as a legacy lol
