Dungeon Keeper being in IP hell still makes me sad to this day.

At least War for the Overworld was a decent spiritual successor.

Maxis, Westwood, Bullfrog, Square before Enix, Blizzard North, LucasArts, Sierra, iD, hell I'd even throw in Midway coz NBA Jam and NFL Blitz were great. At least Capcom and Konami have had a revival these days.
