Reddit thinks BioWare deserves a 5th chance at making another blunder of a game and if EA doesn’t want to fund them anymore, than they’re just an evil corporation (they are but this isn’t a contributing factor).

It sold fine. It was EA that set a ridiculously high expectation and then blamed the studio for not meeting the expectation. Seems like they were just looking for an excuse to axe them as they have to dozens of other great studios.

It sold 1.5 million copies. That probably meant that Bioware lost 40 million or more on it. That is not selling fine.

I think 1.5 million people played it, which includes people who played it on Xbox pass or whatever it's called. It might have sold less than a million copies. I could be wrong though. But regardless, it probably was a financial flop. You don't shut down a studio like Bioware if their games are profitable.
