Not when you know your going to play the game and its the exact same price to pre order. If its a game I know i want I'll pre order it and have it downloaded when it comes out so I dont have to remember to get it later

How can you know you want it without it being released.l? You know they release buggy garbage all of the fuckin time right? Supporting a practise that allows publishers to release unfinished games so you can, what was it, not have to remember to buy it? Thats insane dude. If you cant remember to buy, probably didnt want it that much. Have patience. Wait until it is released and see if its actually a good product instead of being led around like a dog, getting fed hype and marketing bullshit. You are less likely to analyze the game criticslly if you already paid for it. Thats why they sell preorders in the first place.

You know you can refund the game if it sucks, right?

There are conditions to that. 2 hour playtime isnt enough to assess a 100+ hour game. If you preorder, the numbers show that you are fsr more likely to not return vs seeing reviews and just not buying it in the first place. Thats part of why they offer the preorders and why they are willing to give bonuses if yo u preorder.

Most are like a week before tha game drops to get random other content. People aren't pre-ordering a year in advance like its 2006
