China is way ahead of us on this. ZWCAD is literally a clone of Autocad and offers a perpetual license. They have their own version of Revit I haven't messed with.

Sounds very similar to american industrialists with things like the automobile and the train.

Nobody accuses Henry ford of being a thief despite all the theiving and copying he did.

I wonder what the difference is 🤔
