Big true. I've been using it since 2.78 (i bit the bullet and learned the old UI), and then once I finally got used to it, as much as someone can, they put out 2.8 😂

I wanted to blow my brains out. But EEVEE came out a few version later and it's been the goat since.

Yes, oh my god this was such a colossal upgrade. I was using it in uni when the switch happened and I basically went from on-par g industry standard to way better than Max/Maya overnight

A uni prof let me do part of my maya character animation course in blender, telling me I'd want to oull my hair out lol

Amazing. Mine was a complete legend, his response was essentially "I don't know blender but it's all the same concepts. If you can find the button I can teach you the concept and add long as I can open your files to fade it you can use whatever you want"

I'm in the cursed place where I learned 2.79 and stuck with it because I like the text interface rather than constantly switching between half a dozen different modes just to get anything done and vague icons that barely mean anything. My skill issue I'm sure, but 2.79 does what I need it to and doesn't look too ugly with the modern dark theme on it
