SEIU 1000 represented employee here. It's not one and done. This one day strike is the beginning.

We all get that but a one day strike every few weeks isn't going to do anything. Even once a week won't be effective. It has to be sustained to feel the impact.

You don't think SEIU knows that?

You probably don't know that this is the first time SEIU has actually striked in California in its history, nor that they have been completely transparent about their plan to extend this strike with multiple days if Newsom/CalHR won't budge (they probably won't).

You also probably don't know that a one-day strike was previously avoided in 2013 because Jerry Brown caved at the last moment. So your assertion that one day strikes can't do anything is patently false. But state workers in the current year are dealing with a far more hostile and greedy governor.

It's not false as this is the first time a 1 day strike has actually happened.

But the mere threat of a one day strike got workers what they wanted in 2013. So it is false. Claiming otherwise is just being pedantic/playing semantics.

Ok so if a 1 day strike is effective then name another time when CA state workers went on strike and got what they wanted after striking for 1 day.

Lmao, you're just going to ignore my example? How would I do that when this is SEIU's first executed strike in its history? There's also no example of SEIU striking for multiple days or weeks to bolster whatever point you're trying to make here, you're just grasping at straws and not following any consistent logic whatsoever.

You clearly will just move goalposts until you're blue in the face. I'm not going through these motions of you pretending to have a good faith discussion, see ya.
