I've made it a habit to reply to emails from recruiters saying "oh I was interested but then I saw the position is in-office / on-site. I'm only seeking remote positions." And maybe a "is there an additional stipend for added expenses from the on-site requirement?"

I hope you find a good fit. I know a few people who are full time work from home and they are the happiest people I know.

Oh yes I already do work remote. Recruiters still reach out. I just want to spread the word to them that it’s what people want. And maybe mislead them a bit to say “aww schucks I WOULD be interested but dang that just doesn’t fit my needs”

America is the land of the online complainers who do nothing practical to change the status quo bc they are content enough to sit back and hope someone else takes action.
