I saw a ducky once Buick brake lights are too low

Not my pictures, but saw this car today. The brake lights are definitely not where you'd expect them and annoyingly low

no. because most DOT rules are set by CONGRESS which passes them using statues and laws.

DOT just enforces what Congresses allows based on the people you elect Be mad at your elected people... duh

There are like 10 different things wrong with this comment. The whole point of agencies is that they make their own rules based on very broad statutory criteria.

Rule-making process occurs within the agency.

The laws Congress passes dictates what’s acceptable in these rules.

They must follow the Administrative Procedures Act.

i mean with all the lobbying in the world i'm sure the DOT could lobby against some of these vague/widely-unspecific rules so we could still be mad at DOT, not just congress.

because most DOT rules are set by CONGRESS which passes them using statues and laws.

And DOT recommendations. They're not allowed to introduce anything, but they give a recommendation and congress basically just votes for whatever the DOT says unless it's a governance/organizational thing.
