I saw a ducky once Buick brake lights are too low

Not my pictures, but saw this car today. The brake lights are definitely not where you'd expect them and annoyingly low

I have a 2020 Santa Fe and this is a big gripe I have with my car. Why are my signals on my rear bumper?!

Because you have a big ass hatch on an suv and lights cannot be on a movable part

Part of my rear lights are not on the hatch. Why couldn't the signal lights be on there?

Turn signals must be on a non movable part of the car in case the hatch is open

Again. There are brake lights and drl on the non movable part of the car. Not the hatch. Why could they not be on that part of the light assembly.

What are you talking about? On a 20 Santa fe, the brake lights are literally on the hatch. I have the same car.

The lights not on the hatch are turn signals and indicators.

Circled below: brake lights

Why can't they be on this part.

They just aren't? They should be

That's my entire point.

Sure. I agree. You said "brake lights are on the non moveable part of the car, not the hatch".

That is incorrect.

Yes, actually, they can. But, if they are, then FMVSS requires a redundant light on a non-moving part.
Examples: BMW i3 and iX.
