This happened to me! They were from dollar tree though. Only ever for washing dishes with dish soap. And any other product it would be exposed to is "septic safe"

Dollar Tree/Family Dollar/Dollar General: Sold products that kllled pets, kllled babies. Now they're coming for our hands with these gloves.

It’s an incompatibility between the gloves & the INCORRECTLY used plumber’s putty on the sink where caulk should be, not the gloves. It’s a chemical reaction that will stop once the putty is replaced with caulk in the proper way.

I too have had this problem repeatedly with Dollar Store gloves (in my defense, there was one literally steps from my apartment and I wanted to wash my dishes without driving to a real grocery store.)

When I looked up the material, the results suggested that it was just something that happens to it - over time it returns to a liquid form naturally. Very odd.
