I think its more that we wont tax the Billionaires but if some poor schmuck hits the lottery we MUST tax them.

My small business pays so much in taxes that its beyond frustrating.

You could tax billionaires 100% and there would still not be enough money for universal healthcare, let alone dealing with the homeless. There are simply not enough of them for that math to work.

Yes and this is exactly why basically every tax in history that starts as, “For the rich to pay their share,” makes its way down to the middle class once it’s accepted. The middle class has an exponentially larger amount pool of collective money to take from.
