Bruh you got people in this thread who think poker is just like slot machines or sports gambling lol.

Yall, there are reputable sites for online poker. Professionals use them and they’re fine. They make enough from rakes that they don’t need to jeopardize their business from scamming people.

Is the implication that the people in the OP are also running the poker site? Because I didn't get that impression.

Which ones are reputable?

Even the legit ones have more than enough scandals.

I think there's a hierarchy of intelligence occuring on this thread lol.

Tier 1: winning players who understand poker is a game of skill and understand that some online sites enable cheating, and MOST IMPORTANTLY understand what a winning table looks like and only plays tables they know they're winning at

Tier 2: bad or dumb losing poker players who don't understand how to look for profitable games

Tier 3: people who think poker is gambling

Yeah. People outside have of poker have no idea. Some people who play still have no idea and that's how profitable players exist. Lol

There’s so much ignorance on this site any time poker comes up, it’s wild. People just love talking out their ass.

Yea. I think most people here haven't experienced actual poker except maybe their buddy's home game or maybe buying in a $1/2 game for $40 at a reservation and busting in 20 minutes then declaring it all a scam.

I worked at GGPoker in the HQ for a half a decade, I've worked at and with WPT, Triton, ACR, Coin... Sure they all have various levels of scum to them... they're sin companies after-all. But they're not just opening scamming people with bots.

Like you have people who regularly play in $100,000+ live tournaments who spend a lot of time and money to play in online tournaments... I'll trust the likes of Fedor Holz, Ole Schemion, Leon Sturm, Leonard Maue... (God why are there so many good German online players...)

Not just poker, it’s all gambling (and a lot of other things too). I don’t think they understand how they’ve completely circled back around to making the same morality arguments that puritanical religious nuts use to make about “sinful” gambling.

People are just clueless and think it's just gambling.
