Discussions if i had a nickel for every time the main plague-themed faction was kinda boring but then they had a badass weirdo subfaction nobody else cares about, i'd probably have enough money to afford to buy all of them. (artistic nudity on slide 3)

Rotmire creed, aos: swamp-dwelling poison ninja florida men. what's not to love? i mean i do like maggotkin now, but when rotmire came out, the main army was kinda dull.
Tamurkhan, whfb: cool warlord with all the weirdo daemons. plague toads, zombie ogres, etc.
Dirge of the great hegemon, trench crusade: main black grail is cool but really very nurgle-ish. dirge is a the mad children of a dead demigod, turned into an eternal funeral procession that runs around jumping people. that's badass!!
lords of decay: okay these guys are sort of cheating, but the main death guard color scheme is kinda dull. the white armor just looks badass.
order of the fly, aos: a very specific subfaction of nurgle-aligned knights that act like noble knights, but are still completely batshit insane. that's so cool! usually nurgle-aligned knights would just be regular chaos knights painted green.
carnival of chaos, mordheim: i don't really like nurglings or plaguebearers. turns out giving them silly little costumes makes me like them a hell of a lot more.
malstrain genestealers, necromunda: personally i don't care too much about these guys, but some people wish they were an entire faction. and tbh, they are super cool.
