I love how it turned out! The other pictures were the inspo photos I sent the tattoo artist. He’s turning six in a couple months - how time flies.

My main squeeze, Gus got diagnosed with doggie dementia last year. We switched him over to Purina Neurocare food which made a big difference. He now only gets occasional sundowners but they are rough.
When he gets sundowners he basically is having a panic attack all night. Needs to be on my chest or face heavily panting from like 12-5am. Started giving him CBD and melatonin which helps once it kicks in. I don’t give it to him every night since he only occasionally gets them and I don’t like to drug him. So that works well. He only gets them for about 3-5 nights in a row every few months. Although lately seems to be a bit more frequent.
Hoping my 12, almost 13 year old lives to 100.
Outside of his dementia he’s still the same incredible boy, aging gracefully, loves to hike, play ball, snuggle. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to better handle his sundowners or words of encouragement?! 😊

I’m curious how big your britt is / was at 7 months - was there still a huge growth spurt from then to a year or did they stay around the same size?

Miss Molly likes to hoard all the pillows. If she gets a bit too overstimulated, all of the pillows in the house get picked up like puppies and hauled onto the couch. One of them gets humped.

I posted a while ago on if it’s a good idea to adopt a Brittany puppy and I did get very good advice and mix reviews on moving forward. I took everything you all said into consideration and decided that I could handle all the challenges adopting a brittany puppy can offer.
I grew up with a Brittany, and he was the best. I’m excited for the new adventure but I’m coming here for advice again on training, toys, tips and tricks.
He will be with my parents during the workdays ( they are very excited as my father is a avid hunter and my mom just likes puppies) and I usually take a 1-2 mile hike/ walk after work anyways I plan on taking him with on. during the weekends I’ve researched dog friendly breweries, parks, hiking trails and in town activities. I purchased a ruffled kennel for travel, but I’m not sure the best indoor crates for crate training.
are there any toys you would reccomend for if I wanted to chill on a Saturday after exercising him?
healthy treat recommendations?
good mental stimulation for a puppy during a Midwest winter?
I’ve read a few upland training guides, and have a general idea, along with my father who is more than willing to help me train. any tips for training a winter puppy to be ready in fall for hunting?
I know this is a lot of questions in one post, but I want to do the best by my new “child” and want him to be the happiest puppy he can be.
Thank you for any advice in advance.

Monty is going to be 11 in a couple weeks and his endurance has definitely gone down last couple years so not sure if this will be his last season in the field. He loves finding birds so as long as he can go I’ll keep taking him, best hunting buddy you could ask for.

She is very active, we have done a 3 mile hike before that had about 400 feet of elevation gain nothing crazy. This would be the first “real” hike but still nothing crazy. We regularly take 3-5 mile walks, she loves to play rough at the park. I really want to get out once before the season ends but don’t want to go without her. Google Ai always says no because of their joints but I want to hear from actually Brit owners.

Rainy/Muddy day here in Minneapolis! Really glad my Brittany (Cash) loves being outside no matter the weather. Too bad for him he doesn't enjoy what comes afterwards...... bath time.

We have a vet scheduled for Monday but ever since October 3rd are Brittany has been limping after her nap for 10 seconds and then walks fine only like past 7pm. We have kept her rested to since we first saw her limp and it’s still hasn’t healed but I was seeing if anyone has seen this before. It’s killing me not being able to hike her 😂 she is also 1.5 years old

The new boys have been with us for almost 5 weeks now and they're doing great! It took a few weeks, but their big brother, Stanley, eventually warmed up to them. It's been fun watching them all interact with each other.
