I've seen several posts on subreddits advertising virtual assistant (VA) jobs and online copy-paste jobs. However, once you contact them, they usually direct you to a Telegram ID, where they assign you a task, often involving translation.

Here's how the scam works, They send you a PDF in English and ask you to translate it into your regional or native language within a specific deadline. Once you submit the work, they provide another contact supposedly responsible for processing your payment. That's when things take a turn. This person asks you to pay a certain amount as a processing fee before releasing your earnings, and that's it. You've spent your time and effort completing the task, only to realize that you've been scammed.

I'm sharing this because I wish I'd known about these scams earlier. Before accepting these kinds of jobs, do your research, look for independent reviews, and verify whether the company is legitimate. Don't fall for unrealistic payments or promises that sound too good to be true. These scammers know how to manipulate people into believing they're getting a genuine opportunity, especially when someone is looking for work.

Please stay alert and share this with anyone who might be looking for online jobs. You could save someone else from wasting their time, effort, and money.
