Hey everyone!

I'm just starting out as a film video essayist, and I'm also a passionate physical media collector. I run a small project where I regularly film unboxings of Blu-rays from my collection and create short video essays about the films themselves.

Most of the time, I don't need a particular edition of a film. But sometimes it really matters, especially when different releases have noticeable differences in color grading, framing, or restoration.

So I'm wondering: are there any trackers that consistently cover recent Blu-ray releases from most of the major boutique labels?

I don't necessarily need full discs or remuxes. Well-made encodes are perfectly fine, as long as the source edition is clearly identified and the original transfer is faithfully preserved, without additional filtering, sharpening, regrading, or other alterations to the image.

I know I could rip my own discs using MakeMKV and a compatible Blu-ray drive, but unfortunately my budget is pretty limited right now, and I can't afford to invest in a proper ripping setup just yet.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice.

I’m mainly interested in Radiance Films, but also Arrow Video, Second Sight, BFI, Vinegar Syndrome, and Criterion (although Criterion releases are generally pretty easy to find on more mainstream trackers).

I'm looking to apply to MAM, when I go to the IRC chat for invites, it says

"Disconnected from the server (transport error). The Lounge does not reconnect in public mode."

I've tried switching browsers, doesn't help.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

I had an HDB account from 2007 that was disabled for inactivity back in 2013 after a year living abroad (so I didn't use it during that year). I recently asked in their IRC support channel and was told the username no longer exists, so I assume it was fully purged.

Is there a way to automate this or is it time to remove nyaa from my indexers?

I put it on a very low priority already, but shows like the new edge runner get uploaded there a day before release. My arr stack sees it, refuses to download it but it still requires an interaction from me so I can black list and search it again.

I have a 6 year old account on AvistaZ, I'm from India.
I have couple of invites as well as a lot of Bonus Points. I don't use the account much, but have a decent ratio and often download small torrents and ensure I seed.

I want to understand if I can self invite to the sister sites like AnimeZ or should not because I am from India. Honestly it wouldn't matter much however I would like to know if this would get my AvistaZ account banned.

I really cherish that account and it is the only private tracker I am a part of and the community initially was very helpful and understanding even when I messed up badly.
Just want to understand if I would be breaking any rules by self inviting when I am from a banned country.

I've been locked out of my account ever since they updated the site, and as far as I can tell there's no IRC or any other modmail type options. My account was in good standing and I'm still seeding a ton of stuff, but I keep getting caught in a weird password failure loop and nothing I can do seems to work.

I got an email today saying they're about to shut down my account for inactivity and I'd love to get this solved before I lose access to one of my favorite trackers.

I've mostly seen QXR recommended for movies around this file size, but they barely have anything on TL and public trackers are generally super slow, so if there's any encode group on TL similar in quality to QXR that would be great.

90% of my current movie collection are Pahe-encodes, and while their stuff looked alright on my 1080p 2014 Sony Bravia, the quality is very subpar on my new LG C5. That TV has a great upscaler though, so good 1080p encodes look really nice on it.

A month or two ago I got into TL via their open invites and it's been going well so far, (150gb seeded, <10GB leeched, a few thousand TL points) but there are a few things missing and I want to diversify my sources for my ArrStack. For the time being I'm just going to add public trackers to prowlarr and call it a day, but I've had issues with the quality of public tracker releases before so for an automated Arrstack I want to try to have a set of private trackers to pull from instead.

From what I understand the basic progression is

Get into one private tracker > build reputation as someone who knows how tf to seed > get into other private trackers

but as a relative cultural newbie (and being aware of some more or less 'blacklisted' trackers like IPT that other trackers generally don't want to associate with) I just wanted to double check if this is a situation where I just need to wait it out and keep building up a history in TL, or if I should be doing something else on top of that.
