its not a feat, it's a stunt. Everyone knows how heavy a car is, and how much heavier an electric car is with its lithium battery packs included. You would need hundreds of these thrusters to generate enough lift to properly levitate a car, instead of just cushioning its fall. And not to mention how expensive and wasteful it will be, using that many one-time-use thrusters that are definitely not a new tech. Even one personal jetpack alone costs more than a car.
What a stupid comment. Those thrusters have never before been used on an automobile. It was doing flips in the air and suctioning to a road while driving upside down. It’s an absolutely unimaginable feat of engineering. We have never seen the technology used in this capacity and it clearly took teams of some of the best engineers in the world to accomplish it.

Ok, I see what's going on.
This isn't a "we've made a practical flying car for everyday use" thing...
Its a cool stunt to show off. Completely impractical. Because it's not supposed to be practical.
Like, you can just appreciate that Evil Kenevil jumped the grand canyon. Without ever having the thought that his rocket isn't a practical mode of transportation. Lol.

Its a cool stunt. The engineers pulled off something cool.
The value is that it brings joy to watch something cool happen.
Musk sux. But I don't let that overshadow the awesome work of the team that made that happen.
