Card Challenge 2026 RAoC Meta Card Challenges - it’s back!
After a little break we are very pleased to welcome back the RAoC Meta Card Challenges for 2026!
What are the RAoC Meta Card Challenges?
Every fortnight we publish a new theme for the Card Challenge. This is your opportunity to show off your cards.
- These can be homemade, store bought, found, received or anything in between.
- You’re welcome to interpret the theme however you so wish, they do not have to be taken literally, just as long as it meets the Challenge theme in some way; that’s the challenge!
- You can participate in as many or as few Challenges as you like.
- Share the love! Commenting on other people’s submissions is encouraged, as is sharing inspirations and ideas.
- Then, for those who wish to enter, you can be matched to exchange your card with another participant.
How do I participate in the exchange?
Each fortnight a new Challenge theme is posted on the RAoC Meta subreddit (it’s always pinned to the top of the subreddit if you missed it in your feed, and there is a reminder posted on the Sunday between new challenges).
To participate in the exchange, anytime before the deadline (2 weeks after the theme is first posted) you will need to:
- Share a photo of your card submission as a comment on the Challenge’s post. The recommended method is by uploading directly to Reddit, but you can alternatively share via a link from a site like imgur (just be aware that Reddit doesn’t like some photo hosting websites), AND
You can opt into sending up to 3 cards to exchange per challenge.
How does the exchange and matching work?
So you let us know you wish to opt into matching by posting a photo of your card(s) and noting your mailing preferences.
After about 2 weeks, the Mod team will match everyone opted in for exchange at random. The matching will usually be done within a week of the Challenge closing, to the best of the Mod team's ability and availability. You may not necessarily receive from and send to the same users. For regular participants, we try to ensure you are matched with different users where possible.
The Mod team will then tag you in a “MATCHING” post so you know who you’re sending to and who you will be receiving a card from. It’s then up to you to contact your match to get their address.
Each challenge also has an optional writing prompt linked to the theme if you would like an extra layer of challenge.
Once you have received your card from the person who you matched with, remember to thank them on the main [r/RandomActsOfCards](r/RandomActsOfCards) subreddit.
Although it’s extremely rare, if you ever experience anything untoward with another user while participating in an exchange we want to know straight away so we can take appropriate action. Contact the team using Modmail.
And here we are… the Challenge themes for 2026!

Bummer Will my mail carrier hate me?
Normally when I have a lot of outgoing—15 this time—I grab my pup and drive to the P.O. Unfortunately my boyfriend is out of town with our only car so I have no choice but to burden the mail carrier, who generally walks their route. How do you think they will respond to this? I can't wait for my boyfriend to return because this is time-sensitive Halloweeny mail, or responses to requests made 4+ days ago.

Meetup Putting together an Atlanta, GA area meetup!
Hey, y'all! I've ran into another cardfriend that's in my area, and we discussed trying to start a meetup in our area for next year.
Is there anyone else in this area that would be interested in a meetup? I figure we can get together, work on cards, and mail them out together!
(If this type of post isn't allowed I understand!)

“I’ve got your address!”
Anyone else get a little charge from being able to say “I’ve got your address already!” when answering requests at the main board?
I’m still new and just said it for the third time. It felt like I was part of the in club for a minute 😝

Self-made holiday card design?
Hi everyone! Could anyone please tell me how I could make this design better (gently)? Or is it okay as is? I feel self conscious about the design!! 😭 thank you 🫶🏼

Some of this week's outgoing!
Ive been off to the races painting everything lol 🏁
Some are cards but most of these are postcards.
I love getting postcards in the mail, but ive been putting everything into envelopes because I dont want them to be completely destroyed
Has anyone sent watercolor postcards through the mail uncovered? How did they come through on the other side?

More paper punch cards, featuring some packaging from a blind box purchase i made over the weekend :) was really fun to make these, and it felt good to be able to recycle a lot of the box packaging into something new and cute!

Storage & Display So many black cats!
I ended up with such a big response to my black cat mail request. I'm shuffling them around tonight to display them better and keep my actual black cat from stealing them! 🤣 Here's the fridge collection.

Postage & Stamps Custom stamp/postmark vibe (for a place without a post office)
So I’m thinking about getting a custom stamp because I want to put it on outgoing mail (because I’ll be living in a cool city without a post office and even though I’ll have to take it to a different town to drop off, I still want to have a mark of where the card is from 😭).
Any recommendations for how to commission a stamp that could be pretty and represent the town it’s coming from? I think a circular stamp with art in the middle would be cool, like a fancy postmark or something.
Thanks 🙏
Edit: message me if u wanna see the stamp draft and give me feedback lol

Demographics and brainstorming? - part 2
I am brainstorming ideas for future offers, TPCs, & learning more about (mostly USA) folks in this group… I am looking for common things/themes.
Questions:
- What supplies or items do you think a good portion of R A O C ers have on hand? I am thinking most people have stickers, memo sheets, small pieces of card stock paper, washi tape, general ephemera, and maybe even bookmarks or post it notes or extra stationery/letter paper. Some would have temporary tattoos, but prob rare. Same with wax seals, prob rare. I know some have tea bags, but also seems rare. Weigh in please! Yes/no on above items and how accurate my assessment was. Are there other items people have on hand? (Not tools, machines, or equipment or the like.)
- How many folks do you think have the Five Below Custom Name stamp - a lot, half, or very few?
- And I feel like some or a lot of people have the paper punch tool in the shape of a postage stamp and some or many have tiny/mini planner stamps the size of a Tic Tac breath mint. Are there other common items people in R A O C have that are very specific like this? (I know a lot of people have ink stamps so I am thinking more “unique” items and categories.)
Thank you, everyone! :)
