Recommendation A variant on the Three Gods riddle
The Hardest Logic Puzzle Ever (Wikipedia), aka the Three Gods Riddle (TED-Ed on YouTube), if you aren't familiar. I've come up with a variant that I find fun and I'm hoping others will! (You are welcome to read the official solutions to the normal one described at the links!)
Most of the rules and setup are the same, so:
You stand before three gods, whom we'll call Sinis (the one on the left), Abyss (the one in the middle) and Dex (the one on the right).
The gods understand English, but will only speak to you by answering yes-or-no questions, and they'll always answer in their language. I find Boolos' choice of "da" and "ja" confusing, so in this version, the only words they'll say are ka and ro. One of those means yes, the other means no, you have no way of knowing which is which.
One of the three gods is the God of Truth and will always answer questions truthfully; one is the God of Lies and will always answer falsely; and one is the God of Chaos and will answer randomly. (To resolve the ambiguity discussed on Wikipedia concerning the random one: the random one will randomly say either ka or ro to each question, with no regard for truth or falsehood.)
Each question is posed to a single god, but you can repeat questions and you can repeat gods. You don't have to pick all of your questions in advance; they can vary depending on the answers you receive to earlier questions.
The gods know their own identities and each others' identities. They also know all basic, commonplace facts and understand basic logic and mathematics.
You must discover the identities of all three gods.
Now, the normal version can be resolved in three questions using counterfactuals or biconditionals, but my alteration is: you cannot use any conditionals at all. No counterfactuals, no biconditionals, no hypotheticals; no "if I ask X, then Y" of any kind. With that restriction: Can you solve it in five questions?
I know it's possible in five, I have a way in mind. I don't think it's possible in four, but if you can prove me wrong, that's awesome. Keep in mind that I'm looking for absolute certainty; any solution that relies on the God of Chaos giving a certain answer, or exposing themself through inconsistency, is invalid. I'll put my solution in the comments in spoiler tags.
(As an additional clarification on paradoxes: If it would be paradoxical for a god to answer a question, e.g. if you ask the God of Truth, "Does your answer to this question mean 'no'?", then that god will answer randomly instead of attempting to resolve the paradox.)

Recommendation I built a logic puzzle game and I hope you like It
Hey everyone!
I've been building a logic puzzle game and thought I'd share one of the cases here to see what you think.
I hope you enjoy it! I'd love to hear what you think and whether you find this kind of puzzle interesting.
Any feedback, positive or negative, is more than welcome. If it's not your thing, I'd be curious to know why or what kind of puzzle you'd prefer instead.
I have other cases, ranging from simpler ones to more challenging ones, if you'd like to see more.
Thanks for taking a look!

Recommendation Illogical Logic Quiz
The following question appeared on "1% Klubben" (The1% Club), a logic quiz show broadcast on Swedish television (SVT):
If the following is true:
1 = 5
2 = 27
3 = 125
4 = 1880
What is 5?
According to SVT, the correct answer is 1, with the explanation: Since 1 = 5, 5 = 1.
I understand the idea is to think outside the box, but as the question is worded, it is misleading, and there is more than one answer.
If you think along the lines of the people who designed SVT's puzzle, there is at least one other correct answer: 5, because 5 = 5, after all.
The “box” is, of course, the assumption that there is a pattern in the numbers to the right of the equals signs that you are supposed to identify. But that requires you not to interpret the equals signs literally, treating the expressions as a numbered list rather than a sequence of equations.
Yet the puzzle designers evidently intend the equals signs to mean exactly what they normally mean: equality, and nothing else. But in that case, the equations are false: 1 is not equal to 5, and so on. Strictly speaking, this means that any number (and indeed anything at all) is a correct answer, since an implication is always true if its antecedent is false: “If 1 = 5, etc., then 5 = x” is true whatever x may be.
But perhaps the right-hand sides need not be interpreted as ordinary numbers in base 10, or perhaps not even as numbers at all? Could some interpretation make the equations true? Possibly. But however you interpret the equations, 5 = 5, and therefore there is at least one correct answer besides 1, namely 5.
(Episode 2, at 48:33, on SVT Play)

Recommendation Hex Minesweeper with letters: which of the 17 closed hexes are right?
Two hidden words share this honeycomb. Every hex holds a letter that is either right (it is in one of the words) or wrong.
A grey hex is a wrong letter, already discarded; its number counts the right letters among its neighbours. A flower is a right letter, already matched; the two circled flowers were given at the start. Colour does not mean right: if a letter is right, green goes in word 1, blue in word 2, and brown dotted letters are shared.
Decide each of the 17 closed hexes. The numbers force a single answer, though a few spots need two numbers read together. Then name both words (physics: forces, energy and waves). Spoiler tags, please; I'll post the answer tomorrow.

Recommendation Pentodoku 8x8
Can there be a puzzle that is pentominoes and sudoku at once?
Yes. From the union of the beauty of Golomb's pentominoes and the fever of sudokus, Pentodoku is born. Twelve pentominoes —F, I, L, N, P, T, U, V, W, X, Y and Z— tile an 8×8 board; each tile carries printed digits and, as they fit together, a sudoku emerges: in every row and every column, the digits 1 through 8 without repetition. Four cells will remain empty —and the board does not reveal which ones—. The fusion of geometry and arithmetic is a real brain-teaser.
**How to play**
- Look at the clue tiles already placed on the board.
- Fit the twelve pentomino tiles onto the 8×8 board.
- Check that each row and each column contains 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
No math needed: only logic. One puzzle per page, pencil and sofa, no screens.

Recommendation The Fifty Wise Men Puzzle
A sultan captured 50 wise men. The sultan decided to play a game with the men to decide whether they would live or be executed.
Here's how the game goes. The men will be locked in 50 different cells, completely separated from each other. Every minute, the sultan calls a man randomly. Each time, the called man has three choices. He can either flip the glass cup the sultan has placed at the start of the game, leave it as is, or ask permission to leave. If a man asks permission to leave and the sultan has called every one of the 50 men at least once, they will all be spared and freed. If not, they will be executed. The glass placed at the start of the game is bottom-down.
The men cannot tell the time in their quarters, there's no other way to convey information to another man except through flipping the glass, and the sultan's calling is perfectly random every time.
The men are given time to discuss their strategies before being sent to their cells. What should they do in order to ensure their survival in the shortest time possible?
EDIT: The wise men will all take a good look at the glass and its initial position before starting.

Recommendation Pentodoku 7x7
You must tile the 7x7 grid using the pentominoes shown on the right.
Two pentominoes are provided as clues. Four cells will remain uncovered; these cells must not share the same row or column.
Finally, the grid must form a Sudoku using the numbers contained within the pentomino cells.
Are you up for the challenge?

Recommendation Who packed the missing model lighthouse? A four-person logic-grid puzzle
Editorial disclosure: this is “The Missing Model Lighthouse”, a free deduction puzzle from our book The Puerto Niebla Case Files, published under the pen name Inés Valdebruma.
The model lighthouse has turned up in a protective wrapper. Before returning it to the exhibition, the conservator needs to identify the person who removed it for packing. The conservation report describes the work but leaves the name blank.
Rules and categories
Each person has one arrival time, one place and one item. Each value is used exactly once. The conservation report and all ten clues are reliable. Differences in minutes compare arrival times.
- People: Alba, Bruno, Celia, Diego.
- Arrival times: 08:00, 08:10, 08:20, 08:30.
- Places: the reception area, the workshop, the archive, the model room.
- Items: the blue folder, the green key ring, the red torch, the yellow pencil case.
Conservation report
The report confirms that the person carrying the blue folder arrived at the workshop at 08:00. This person removed the model lighthouse and put it in the wrapper.
Clues
- Diego arrived before Bruno.
- The person at the reception area arrived exactly 10 minutes after Celia.
- The person at the archive arrived before the person at the reception area.
- The person carrying the green key ring arrived before the person carrying the yellow pencil case.
- The person at the archive arrived before the person carrying the red torch.
- The person carrying the yellow pencil case arrived exactly 20 minutes after Alba.
- Bruno did not carry the yellow pencil case.
- Celia did not carry the yellow pencil case.
- Alba arrived before Celia.
- Celia did not arrive at 08:30.
Your task
Who removed and wrapped the model lighthouse? Reconstruct the full table of people, arrival times, places and items, and explain your deductions.
Please hide answers and deductions in Reddit spoiler tags so others can try the puzzle first.
Solution — spoilers below
Answer: Alba removed and wrapped the model lighthouse.
Full table: Alba — 08:00 — the workshop — the blue folder; Bruno — 08:30 — the model room — the red torch; Celia — 08:10 — the archive — the green key ring; Diego — 08:20 — the reception area — the yellow pencil case.
Clues 7 and 8 rule out Bruno and Celia as the owner of the yellow pencil case. Clue 6 rules out Alba too: she cannot arrive twenty minutes after herself. Diego therefore carried it, arriving twenty minutes after Alba and before Bruno. Among the four times, this forces Alba to 08:00, Diego to 08:20 and Bruno to 08:30, leaving Celia at 08:10.
The report assigns the blue folder and the workshop to the 08:00 arrival, Alba. Clue 2 places reception ten minutes after Celia, at 08:20, so Diego went there. By clue 3, the archive was earlier than reception. The 08:00 place is already the workshop, so the archive must be at 08:10, with Celia. Bruno therefore went to the model room.
By clue 4, the green key ring arrived before Diego's yellow pencil case at 08:20. Alba already carried the blue folder, leaving Celia at 08:10 with the green key ring. Bruno carried the remaining item, the red torch. This also satisfies clue 5: the archive arrival at 08:10 was before the red torch at 08:30. Clues 9 and 10 agree with the completed table. Finally, the report identifies the blue-folder carrier as the person who wrapped the lighthouse: Alba.

Help! Am I crazy?
I bought this book on Amazon before I realized it was AI generated (so everything is questionable at best but I have yet to face a puzzle I haven't genuinely been unable to solve).
This one, on the other hand, I feel like im going crazy??? (Let's ignore my already blocked out squares and please dont solve the whole thing for me!! I love logic puzzles, I just feel like the wording of this one is tripping me up)
The Valise was seen 5 minutes after the Prayer Roll
The News Vendor was carrying the Valise
The Prayer Roll was seen 5 minutes earlier than Street Kid Pip
Dont 1 and 7 cancel out 6 because the Valise coming 5 minutes after the Prayer Roll equal the same thing as the Prayer Roll being seen 5 minutes earlier than Street Kid Pip???
You can see in the stop minute column where I was using the pre-written times to work this out. I wrote SKP (Street Kid Pip) at :15 and said "okay, Prayer Roll comes 5 minutes earlier" , PR goes at :10 (in theory here). Then the Valise (V) is seen 5 minutes later than PR so it goes at :15? Thus equally SKP had V?????
What the hell is going on 😭😭😭

Help! Logic Puzzle with Sound
I've been rebuilding logicpuzzles.com now that I'm semi-retired. I added an immersive soundscape to a logic-grid puzzle. Station ambience begins as you solve, followed by a timed conductor announcement connected to the story. I’d appreciate feedback on whether the audio improves the puzzle or becomes distracting.

I'm really not trying to spam my site. I'm simply interested in if/how distracting this option is.
Thanks in advance.
