Need help choosing an EV, finding a home charger, or understanding whether you're eligible for a tax credit? Vehicle and product recommendation requests, buying experiences, and questions on credits/financing are all fair game here.
Generally speaking, electric vehicles imply a larger upfront cost than a traditional vehicle, but will pay off over time as your consumables cost (electricity instead of fuel) can be anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 the cost. Calculators are available to help you estimate cost — here are some we recommend:
Tell us a bit more about you and your situation, and make sure your comment includes the following information:
[1] Your general location
[2] Your budget in $, €, or £
[3] The type of vehicle you'd prefer
[4] Which cars have you been looking at already?
[5] Estimated timeframe of your purchase
[6] Your daily commute, or average weekly mileage
[7] Your living situation — are you in an apartment, townhouse, or single-family home?
[8] Do you plan on installing charging at your home?
[9] Other cargo/passenger needs — do you have children/pets?
If you are more than a year off from a purchase, please refrain from posting, as we currently cannot predict with accuracy what your best choices will be at that time.
Don't forget, our Wiki contains a wealth of information for owners and potential owners, including:

Background
I am invested in a landscaping/lawncare business, and almost in beginning of the year, a F150 gave up, and was replaced by a Silverado EV work trim.
I tried that about 2 years ago, when the truck was first released, but couldn't due to a plethora of reasons.
Business vehicle financing is so skewed, it is insane. Wanna get a diesel? It will be stamped through and through within a day or two.
Wanna get a V8, through and through!
Wanna get an EV? Used EV? Took 3 weeks to get approved, and I had to explain how it would be a good choice!!!
We've been saving $1000/mo on fuel, on a single truck. No loss in performance. In fact, a lot of other smaller equipment, we've also made electric because of the bed power the truck supplies, further getting rid of smaller gas engines which need a lot of TLC.
Business vehicle financing is absolutely skewed towards V8s and diesels, and I'm kinda surprised EVs aren't taking over. For a significant percentage of business vehicles, EVs make far more sense than combustion cars do.

I would SO jump all over this. I've always loved wagons and sadly, North America will most likely not get this one. So tired of all the SUV's and Crossovers on the road. Europe gets all the best toys.
Edit: First 3 Series EV wagon. Thank you to the person who jogged my memory.

Look I switched from a Nissan Altima so take this with a grain of salt — but I absolutely love my ‘25 Kia EV6 Wind. The handle, acceleration, looks — even range, I have zero regrets. Still catch myself walking up to and thinking dang I actually love my car. For the range angle, I don’t feel I’m having to recharge all that much more than how often I’d have to visit a gas station. I guess this is a nudge to someone on the fence like I was for a while, it’s worth the switch.

UPDATE
Thanks to those who responded and weren’t jerks about it. It’s looking like Wawa charges an insane premium of around $.70 at most of their facilities, and off peak doesn’t start till midnight. Big fan of Wawa , but good God their Supercharger pricing is almost predatory.
———-
Driving a Bolt and recently bought a CCS to NACS adapter. I tested it out a local supported Supercharger last night, around 10:30PM. It was just me and one other car.
Good news is the charging itself was flawless. Hooked up the adapter, fired up the Tesla app, and did a quick six minute text. I had about 50% on battery when I started and added about 2 kwh.
Bad news? It was 72¢ per kwh. I could almost understand if this was during peak hours. However, everything I've read sorta indicates at worst this should've been around 50¢ per kwh, off peak. There's an Ionna a few miles away that's charing 39¢ per kwh.
Are all Superchargers this expensive? I'm glad the network has expanded, but Good Lord, even EVGo is cheaper than this.

Cool weather high range comparison. 70 mph, 40 to 50 degrees F. TL, DW;
Lexus RZ not really worth mentioning.

A couple weeks ago (Oct 2), I was DC fast charging my Mercedes EQS 450 at the Electrify America station at Sam’s Club in Murrieta, CA using the factory-included 2-year Mercedes me Charge plan. (For context, this car has only ever been charged on the official Mercedes home wallbox or EA via factory Plug & Charge—never any third-party adapters).
During the session, the plug welded itself solid inside my car’s charge port. An EA field tech came out, couldn't unlock it, and literally had to pull out tools and physically cut the charging cable off the station to free my car. While there, the tech taped off the dispenser, took the other two chargers down remotely, and told me plainly that the connector pins were burned and "needed to be replaced anyway," venting frustration with dispatch for delaying maintenance.
Then Mercedes Roadside Assistance sent multiple tow contractors who had no idea how to tow an EQS—none of them could figure out how to get the car into neutral with the high-voltage fault active and refused to take it. The local dealership (Mercedes-Benz of Temecula) had to privately hire their own tow operator on wheel dollies to move it.
The car has now been sitting on the dealer lot for over two weeks with ZERO progress:
• Electrify America (Case # 03448697 / 03454158) sent a denial email citing their "Terms of Use" to avoid paying for the melted inlet, and refuses to speak to the dealership.
• Mercedes-Benz (Case # 24855033) is refusing to touch it under warranty, claiming it’s an EA problem—even though EA is Mercedes' contracted charging partner.
I’m paying for a $100k+ car that's been dead for almost 3 weeks while two massive corporations point fingers at each other. EA's tech admitted the hardware was damaged beforehand, and Mercedes has a 30-day clock under California Lemon Law (Song-Beverly).
Has anyone dealt with a melted port or EA/OEM finger-pointing before? How did you break through to someone who could actually resolve it?

I saw the earlier post about the faulty DC Fast Charge cable from Electrify America that melted to OPs Mercedes EQS.

EA is hiding behind their User Agreement that no one has ever seen or knowingly agreed to, especially if used with a manufacturer’s charging /network such VW Pass+, FordPass, or Mercedes Me.
https:/ /www.electrifyamerica.com/mobile-tou/
Sections 20-22 have terms that grant NO LIABILITY absent proof of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
What a sh!tty situation for consumers we have here. I’m sure an analysis of other networks will show similar weasley lawyers services have been employed. At least with Ionna Chargers via a credit card swipe with no account or App to hide behind, you should have better recourse.
