Ok ok ok, so I'm just absolutely baffled. So much so I just have to share this. I've only got about 38 hours on this game and this has to be the most awesome experience yet.

I was doing the first scouting mission into the Warrens, and made a team I would end up regretting. Antiquarian, Runaway, Grave Robber, and Hellion. It seemed like a good idea on paper, they all had an ability to deal with bleed and blight, but absolutely zero healing. This became apparent after the first few rooms.

But my frantic desperation for gold made me discard all logical thought and I pressed onward, as my fragile economy depended on this trip. So my one antiquarian needed to do her job.

Well you see, I had all but forgotten the Thing From The Stars, who then popped out of the pitch black darkness to say hi. I just about gave up almost immediately, but for some stubborn reason or another I refused to retreat, well until it was too late.

Everyone goes batshit crazy, my Hellion was whipping herself, my Grave Robber was babbling schizoid nonsense, my Runaway was roasting not only the boss but also her own teammates, and my antiquarian was screaming and shitting her robes the entire time.

BUT! By some MIRACLE of God, by the will of the DIVINE, after everyone died of heart attacks, my antiquarian is barely alive. Now It's her against an incomprehensible eldritch abomination of the outer cosmos, and as I fail to retreat... the thing just up and DIED!

The one DoT of Burn leftover from my dead Runaway was the last "fuck you" to the world, like a Hail fucking Mary. I sit and ogle my screen for a few moments in utter bewilderment to the rollercoaster of emotions that just transpired in the last 5 minutes.

Now it's a really good time to get the FUCK outta here.

As absurd and disturbing as it sounds i found it weird that fish carcass always give jewelry more than the chest and one of the siren lore imply that after the ancestors sacrificed both Idol and Waif a Jewelry just appear from the coast and the only reasonable cove jewelry are from the clam curio

I recently shared the initial stages of my costume, and this is almost the final result.

Hooooh boy, this was a blast. I love this game, this was my second playthrough on blood moon. My first save tragically being lost paved the way for this amazing run to come. I played some runs on darkest years before but fell off the game. Coming back recently the only info I had to work on was very little experience and alot of YouTube videos. There were highs and there were lows, but in the end I succeeded. I will be posting the obituaries of my two fallen friends. May they rest in peace knowing their sacrifice saved the world.

After 10 minutes of thinking and stressing i embarked on my journey. Only to realize I forgot my fuckin trinkets. Still won though. I remembered my trinkets in the second one fortunately.

Asselin, you're the fucking goat. So many zero light runs that you powered through. Always virtuous, always picking up the team when they fell. You carried my economy and in your final moments became the most priceless treasure.

Valance, honestly it hurts to see you go. You singlehandedly carried several boss fights. Your flames burned down all that stood before you and in your final moments it was your flame that burned brightest.

Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, their stories will be sung in taverns and on stages across the world for centuries.

Just wondering in case Man-at-arms is stressed or something when VVulf spawns, would you be able to take him to endless harvest to de-stress him first or would that automatically fail the event? I've heard conflicting information on this and doesn't seem to be any mention of it online, I know that Endless harvest seems to reset other town events so I wouldn't be surprised

What an amazing game. Really loved it in a totally different way to the first game. My team consistent of a Sharpshooter Highwayman, Debuffer Occultist, Templar Crusader and Poet Leper.

Closest anyone came to death was actually against a random region cultist rampart where the big 3 size guy smacked Dismas 3 times in a row and almost killed him.

Had some crazy trinket combos, a run where I had the +50% damage per negative debuff on my Leper and he was smacking things for 80 and then one where my Highwayman got the +100% damage and loses damage each turn, and would just start each fight insta killing the back line.

Excited to try some different teams, I only finished the Occultist Shrines on this attempt, and plenty of other characters have abilities and paths to unlock.

What mods u guys use to make dd1 better afyer u beat it?

Was winding down for the night and messing with her alternate palettes. Decided to mess with the idea of an alt helmet to match her Rhodos faction colours.

I’ll be honest, I’ve was really, really nervous going into Wolves at the Door, because I’ve heard horror stories of how difficult Vvulf can be. My team comp was Tf2 Engineer, Jester, Man-at-Arms, and Legion from Fire Emblem. (Yes i am using modded characters, sue me.) the fight ended up being pretty stressful as the lack of an on demand heal and relying on engineer’s party restore led to my man at arms being taken to deaths door after tanking 3 bombs, forcing me to risk my other heroes to a crit to give him time to heal. I ended beating him when legion landed a crit for around 43 damage, taking him out. I ended up popping off when that happened.

I don't know what causes this, but whenever I see teams like 4 Houndmasters for the Flesh boss it stirs something wrong inside me, I just need my teams to be 4 different characters every time haha

I am currently workshopping two different teams for a grand slam in Darkest Dungeon 2. Never quite been the best at teambuilding as I’m a bit stubborn with what I like and I’m just trying to figure out between these two options. What might be better? Please be as harsh as possible if needed.

Option one
Wanderer or Templar Crusader: depending on confession, Smite, Inspiring, Battle Heal, as primary Mix of Lance Rallying or Stunning depending on confession.

Maniac flagellant: Punish, More More, Deathless, Lashes, Sepsis.

Plague doctor subclass and thusly build depends on what confession

Sharp shot highwayman: Grapeshot, Pistol shot,double tap, Take aim, Highway Robbery/ tracking shot depending on build. Slice for denial

Option two

Revenger hellion: Wicked Hack, Iron swan, Adrenaline rush, Howling, Reverly/other winded skill depending on build

Monarch leper: Chop,Purge,Reflection,Solemnity, Bash/Break depending on region

Ritualist Occultist: Vulen and weakening hex, Abbysal artillery, reconstitution, Binding shadows for denial malediction for rest

Confessor Vestal: judgement, divine grace, illumination, consecration fortitude, sanctuary

Used to run man at arms with it. I kind of fell out of love with him after Stalwart changes.

Beat the game with option one all the way back when blinding blade came out haven’t had as much luck since returning
