Video This is the largest single-building pig farm in the world. At 26 storeys high, it can slaughter 1.2 million pigs per year. It was built in Ezhou, China, to help the country's exploding demand for pork. Pork is China's most popular meat, with the country consuming nearly half of global pork demand.

I have been rotating through these for the last 4 years and I didn't get bored once (list is not exhaustive, I am not even halfway done):

Dal Bati Choorma, Gatte ki sabji, Kofte, Dahi bhalle, Vegetable/boondi/sada Raita, Saangri (rare and expensive), Kaachar, Kundru, Sev tamatar, Dahi fry, Dal pyaaz, cream dal, Malai pyaaz, Chana masala, Mix veg, Baingan (egg plant) bharta, Akha moong dal, Ghiya kofta, Poha (flattened rice), Smoked gawar fali, Bharva baingan, Tawa aalo, Soya chaap, Kichdi, Pudina/lal mirch/kaachar/nariyal/dhaniya chutneys, Rice with soya chunks, Soya chunks + potato, Tawa bhindi (okra/ladyfinger), Tawa aalo(potato), Malai moongfali(groundnut), Rajma rice, Garlic rice, Fried rice (with soya chunks, onions), Tomato sabji, Radish sabji, Patod ( a besan sabji), Patra (taro root leaf), Opium leaf, Malai corn, Aalo/ghiya/maithi/gobhi/jeera/cheese/paneer partha with curd and pickles,

Paneer roll, Vegetable roll, Pickle roll, Potato+curd roll,

Khaman Dhokla(snack), Jalebi fafda (snack), Bikaji Bhujiya,

Idli, Dosa, Medu vada, Aalo vada, Vada paav, Undhiu, Uttpam, Besan/Sooji ke chille , Paav bhaaji, Dabeli, Samosa (I know it's an Afghan snack), Kachori (snack), Mirchi vada (snack), Bread pakoda (snack), Paav + manchurian, Chhole bhature, Mathri, Petha, Shing dana, Chhole kulche, Dam aalo, Ghiya + chana dal, Malai Papad, Pyaj papad sookha, Matar/kadhai/shahi/palak Paneer (dairy), Aaloo palak, Fried gobhi (cauliflower), Gobhi aloo with curry, Fried cabbage (red-orange version - extra chilli),

Sweets: Moong Daal halwa, Carrot halwa, Potato halwa, Wheat flour Halwa, Besan chakki, Balushahi, Bengali mithai, Milkcake, Gulaab jamun, Chirawa (a place) ka peda (it's expensive but super tasty), Ghevar, Mava kachori, Mishri mava, Rabdi, Imarti, Jalebi, Nariyal chakki, Sweet rice, Molasses (liquid jaggery)

Edit: added some punctuation because reddit made new line rows into a whole ass paragraph. Also added more entries. Also for those who think of curry when thinking of Indian food, you would be surprised how it's not even half the picture. You can eat most of the listed items with any of your favourite breads (I prefer tawa roti, tandoori roti, paratha and naan)

Edit 2: My mother is a veteran of cooking all of this. Her pickles and chutneys are exported too!! She is thinking of starting a youtube channel.

I say this with love and a will to learn. Please add some commas or something between these so I can take this list and make them. I think your using capitals? Even better if you have recipe links!

As a vegetarian, soy granules and soy isolate has been a life saver in my fitness journey.

1

u/Cremdian Sep 08 '26

As somebody who doesn't know much about soy. Why do the granules and isolate help you enough to call out?

1

u/NoBailOnReddit Sep 08 '26

Soy granules have 50% protein. So you cook 100gms and 50gms is pure protein. Soy isolate is something I order from a nutraceutical manufacturer and it usually has 80-88% protein per scoop, depending on the flavour. So 80-88gms of protein per 100gm. Also has all the essential amino acid profile.

Sorry man, I had put all the entries in new lines, reddit made a whole paragraph Outta it.

3

u/Shoulder-Ordinary Sep 08 '26

No worries. I didn't want my comment to come off as grammar b*tch for the sake of it. Super interested to hear what you make. Thank you for the commas. Amazing.

Shloopagoo, Binghaswani, Birwirmignu, Shimshaloo, Avoo, Pichoo, Gooboo, and lentils are all good too.

Depending on which version of Reddit you're using, you need to double line to make actual new lines.

Your samosa is an Afghani snack only of it's baked instead of fried like Indian samosas. And as a whole, the thing is an evolution of a central asian snack. But the samosa most people know is definitely Indian.

Can you translate this for the poor midwestern American without universal healthcare?

2

u/OldWar1111 Sep 08 '26 edited Sep 08 '26

How would you translate dish names? Like what would Chicken Kiev translate to in Hindi?

These are all dish names, all vegetarian.

Edit: typo in Chicken Kiev spelling.

1

u/coconut_curry_sauce Sep 08 '26

I dunno man. I googled up what Chicken Kiewv is, and the closest i can think a poor midwestern white person without healthcare would call it fried breaded chicken breasts.

The long list of names is really cool to google up. Carrot Halwa? Oh Carrot pudding.

u/OldWar1111 Sep 08 '26

Lol, fair enough.

I do appreciate how lovely a word sounds. Exotic. My favorite is quesadilla. Sounds like something high class. Literally a grilled cheese but with flour tortillas.

u/Muted_Buy8386 Sep 08 '26

No thank you. I have an issue with the names. I dislike the language.

2

u/CareRarely Sep 08 '26

Sounds like you have more than one issue.

But, have you tried Shoo Aloo?!
