In the second half I was thinking they could hide behind a wall to get out of the brute force of the water, but then the entire car park got uprooted and smushed.

What a terrifying way to go.

I wonder if anyone managed to survive in the first building. If they were on the ground floor when it hit, they probably wouldn't.

Odds are extremely high that nobody survived that. That is an insane amount of Earth. For many of those people, there isn't going to be anything left to recover.

Yea i saw geologist talking about it. Its millions of tons that got displaced... not even counting water mass
