That's possible. There's a geologist on Facebook I follow. She just showed one In Alaska that let loose. 16,000,000,000,000 in something like 24 hours

Read the book The Wave. The author follows around professional surfer Laird Hamilton on his quest to ride a 100ft wave.
The book meanders between that story and other stories of historical waves and one of them is the Alaska wave you’re talking about.

I really enjoyed the book

This just happened about a week ago. I know the wave you are talking about. That happened in a very remote area. It went like 400' up the fourd wall or something like that.
