Tell me about it. This one time I went to a revolving sushi bar (Kura) while stoned off my ass, and that's exactly what my bill turned out to be. Never go to a place like that while high! Find a good Americanized Chinese buffet like Lin's instead.
Unfortunately I had a really bad experice at one. Never again.
Last time I tried an all you can eat sushi joint, they didn't explain the process clearly enough due to a language gap, I ended up ordering way more than I could handle by mistake, and felt incredibly guilty about having to send it all back. I meant to order 10 pieces but they sent me 10 orders of 10 pieces instead, without even thinking to say, "are you sure?" Look, I get that I'm your typical overweight American, but I'm not 250+ lbs; did the server seriously think I could eat ONE HUNDRED pieces of sushi?
And then they tried to charge me for it too! But I made that go away after a long discussion with the restaurant manager. Long story short it put a sour taste in my mouth and I really don't want to give AYCE a second chance out of fear that I'll screw up the order again...
I thought it was going to be about you got sick lol. I mean. I’d give it a shot again. Just maybe not there. Try one of the places that lets you tick off the boxes. That way you have a paper trail ;-)
It's worse when you're out of the house. I did that and spent over 150 on sushi. Granted, it was two people but still this was 10 years ago, can't imagine what that would run now.

Or on the couch stoned out of your mind? I try and avoid sushi when I’m high because I’ll end up eating $75 worth.
