And its usually the dumbest low effort posts, like this one, that accomplish that. Had one myself a few weeks ago that managed 5,000… it was dumb and low effort.

I had a couple highly voted comments. It's always either the most stupid jokes or the most surface level political opinions (and as a bonus, the times I didn't even read the linked article lmao).

But hey at least my personal top posts of all time are some high quality original shitposts :D

I once took a low quality low effort picture of my PS1 with FFIX disc and got 30k upvotes on r/gaming

People on discord were egging me on to post it, and I'm still baffled that it got any upvotes at all
