The state of Alabama committed perjury to indict me for the felony crime that I was the victim of. More importantly, the crime I reported…..or attempted to report, and they ultimately helped the criminal commit even more crimes against me. My wife was indicted too, and her name doesn’t even show up in any of the evidence which ultimately shows that they knew some of our information was incorrect. Law enforcement had the wrong address for us. A man named David setup our mail to be forwarded to another address on the same road…..an address with no mailbox. He then setup for the mail at that address to be picked up at the post office. David then got my information and used my identity to commit a crime from my house on my WiFi. My isp helped him get access to my WiFi even after he made several failed attempts on the phone. When I was arrested I told them they had the wrong address and they refused to change it. The criminal’s address was on my driver’s license at the time, but they ignored that address too. In total we lost $40,000 from bail and attorney fees. The District Attorney threatened to put me back in jail if I continued talking about how stupid they were with this case, and he told me that I shouldn’t be so disrespectful to people like law enforcement that risk their lives every day.

I feel bad for people living in deep red states. Talk to your lawyer to confirm you can go public with the info, if not I would delete the post.

Nah someone else did something illegal (sounds like to OP) but the state lied in order to indict OP. Happens more often than you’d think, which is why you never talk to the cops even if you’re innocent.

I didn’t speak to the cops, that is part of what saved me some. When I refused to speak they simply told me I would be arrested for pleading the fifth.

It could be what saved you or people in similar situations. Indictments aren’t hard for prosecutors to secure but deciding to see a case thru to the end requires a bit more evidence and evidence they can gather from a suspect talking to them. Even in innocence there are things they can get you to say to build a case against you.

It’s an important lesson that a lot of people don’t learn: cops will arrest you for no evidence, you may even get indicted, they use the threat of both to get you to talk to them. Good on you for not doing so!
