[Web] Swornly — free citizenship-test practice (US/CA/AU/UK/DE), want brutal feedback

• Upvotes

I built Swornly, a free web app for citizenship-test practice across 5 countries (US, Canada, Australia, UK + Germany in beta). Every question is checked against the official study guide, and there's a "Try 5 questions now" guest trial — no account needed.

Try it: https://swornly-app.vercel.app/

I'd rather hear what's broken than what's nice. Specific asks:

  1. Can you finish the 5-question trial with zero help? What confused you?
  2. Do the questions feel like the real test, or like a quiz app guessing at it?
  3. The readiness score — does it make you want to come back, or is it noise?

Happy to return the favor on your beta in comments.

[macOS/Linux, Alpha] Gamekins: testers wanted for library sync and a unified friends tab

• Upvotes

I’m the developer of Gamekins, a free MIT-licensed desktop launcher for supported Epic, Steam, GOG and local games. The macOS/Linux 0.1.0 early-release installers are available to test now.

I’m looking for feedback on: - First launch and importing native/local games. - Refreshing supported provider libraries into one view. - The unified friends tab, presence and provider-specific chat options. - Clear explanations of what each platform supports.

Downloads: https://www.gamekins.online/download/ Source: https://github.com/ErzenXz/gamekins

The Mac app is universal (Intel/Apple Silicon), signed and notarized. Linux offers x64 AppImage/deb, focused on Steam handoffs and local native games; an Epic compatibility runner is not bundled, and GOG on Linux uses manual downloads/local import. Steam/GOG installs use the official clients. Game/provider compatibility varies.

This is library/install-status syncing, not cloud-save sync. Cloud saves and achievements are not implemented. Windows is separately available as the certified Microsoft Store 0.1.1 edition, where native chat is disabled. Development was AI-assisted.

There is no Gamekins subscription or paid tier. If you try it, OS/CPU architecture, installer type, provider and steps to reproduce would make feedback especially useful.

Describe your app below, and lets exchange feedback! + looking for testers

• Upvotes

Drop what you're building below, and we can exchange feedback. Mine is Mitra, a prediction market for startups.

It allows users to make predictions about new startups (future milestones) using a video discovery feature (think like YouTube, and startup owners get compensation based on trading volume. We're testing the demand for both sides of the products, so let me know if you would like to be a beta tester, I can add you. ONLY for serious builders hoping to get real feedback, connections, and opportunities. Lets get going!

NOTE: Feel free to comment on other people's ideas, but please do not degrade others projects by spamming your own. Thanks!

Looking for people with different income sources to test 8FIGURES and tell us where it gets confusing

• Upvotes

I’m part of the 8FIGURES team. We’re recruiting people for a short usability test of our portfolio and net-worth tracker on iOS/Android.

We’re especially interested in people who already use Monarch, Empower, Kubera, Sharesight or a spreadsheet, and track more than one type of asset.

The test:

  • Go through the initial onboarding.
  • Find where you would check your asset allocation and investment performance.
  • Tell us where you got stuck, what you expected to see and what would stop you using it again.

The session is capped at 15 minutes. If something blocks you, that’s useful feedback too.

Leave a comment if you're interested and I'll reach out to you!

I built an open-source Chrome extension to search text across multiple tabs — looking for honest feedback. NSFW

• Upvotes

I recently built Open Text Finder, a Chrome extension that solves a small problem I kept thinking about: finding a specific word or phrase when you have lots of tabs open.

Instead of searching every tab manually, it lets you search across open tabs, preview matching snippets, see match counts, and jump to highlighted results.

Current features:

\\- Search text across multiple tabs

\\- Preview matching snippets and counts

\\- Jump to and highlight matches

\\- Case-sensitive and whole-word search options

I built it using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Chrome Extension Manifest V3, and released the source code under the MIT License.

I'm still figuring out whether this solves a problem other people actually have, so I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback.

A few things I'd love to know:

\\- Would you find this useful in your everyday browsing?

\\- What feature is missing that would make you use it regularly?

\\- Are there any privacy, permission, or usability concerns you'd want addressed?

GitHub: https://github.com/klyrostack/open-text-finder-v1

It's currently available to install locally through Chrome's Developer mode. I'm considering publishing it on the Chrome Web Store if there's enough interest.

Thanks for taking a look!

[iOS, Beta] SnippetCue: a keyboard for the messages you retype every day

• Upvotes

Hi! I'm the developer, and I'm looking for iPhone testers before it comes to the App Store.

SnippetCue is a keyboard full of your own saved messages. Tap one and the whole message goes into the text field. A snippet can have blanks, so you pick the day, time or option in the keyboard before it goes in. “Are you free Friday at 10 for a call?” becomes a few taps.

It's for people who send the same messages all day: sellers answering buyers, stylists confirming bookings, anyone with a few AI prompts they reuse.

What I'd love you to test:

- Turning the keyboard on. Is any step confusing?

- Inserting snippets in the apps you actually use, and telling me where it doesn't work.

- Making a snippet with a date or a choice blank.

- Anything that feels slow or unclear.

You need an iPhone on iOS 26 or later. There's no account, nothing to sign up for, and nothing you type leaves your phone. Pro is free in the beta.

TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/GNasHtMR

Happy to test your app in return; drop a link below.

[Android] [Closed Beta] eMote - use your phone as a Bluetooth page-Turner for compatible eReaders

Hey all! I'm an indie dev, and I built eMote, a free iOS app that turns your phone into a Bluetooth page-turner remote for Bluetooth-compatible e-readers.

The iOS version hit the top 100 in Books on the App Store and one of the biggest requests has been to bring it to Android. Google requires new developers to run a closed test before an app can go public, and I need your help with that.

If you are interested in helping me test the Android version of eMote:
- DM me the email tied to your Google Play account
- Accept the invite and install eMote from the Play Store link I send you
- Keep it installed and stay opted in for **14 days**. This is the part that matters most.
- Open it a few times and play around. Feedback is welcome but not required.
- Bonus points if you can get it connected to a Kindle on their newest firmware. They are releasing a remote soon and I am hoping these work with Kindles once the firmware update is out.

Existing users have most luck with Kobo and Boox readers.

**What you get:** early access and my sincere thanks. If you're running your own closed test, I'm happy to return the favour and help test yours.

Please comment here for visibility but DM me your email rather than posting it in the comments. Thanks!

every chat app wants a different sticker size so I just exported everything for all of them

Slack wants 128px under 128KB.
WhatsApp wants 512px WebP under 500KB with a 96px tray icon.
Telegram wants WEBM video under 3 seconds.
Discord and iMessage each want something else again.

I got tired of that and made Gifpack. It's 10 characters with 30 reactions each (LGTM, ship it, this is fine, side eye, facepalm, coffee, etc). Every set comes pre-exported for Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and iMessage. For Slack there's a names file so you can bulk upload instead of adding 30 emoji by hand.

The characters are a robot for eng channels, a shiba, a cat, a rubber duck, a 1930s cartoon guy, a grandma for the family group chat, and a few others. They're drawn with an AI image model, then we cut them out and animate them ourselves. The captions are set by hand because AI text in GIFs is still garbage.

Olive (the office one) is free, the whole set. Otherwise it's $9 per character or $19 for all 10 at launch ($19 / $79 normally), one-time. All 10 covers one team workspace.

gifpacks.com

What reactions does your team use that aren't in the usual sets? I feel like "can we take this offline" is missing from everything.

I builtdating site that matches future travel dates instead of distance. Can 10 people find where it breaks?

• Upvotes

Most dating apps are designed around one question

“Who is near me right now?”

But what if you live in London, someone else lives in New York, and both of you are flying to Barcelona next month?

You might be perfect for each other, but traditional location-based matching could completely miss that opportunity.

That is why I built TravelNeighbors.

Instead of focusing on where people live, it helps travelers discover each other based on where they are going and when they will be there.

website is already live in beta, and I have reached stage where feedback from real people matters much more than another week of polishing buttons

Here is my challenge: I need 10 people to spend just 3 minutes trying to find something wrong with it.

Open it on your phone or computer and try to:

  1. Figure out how to find people traveling to a particular destination.

  2. Understand how travel dates affect who you might meet.

  3. Decide whether you would actually trust this platform enough to use it before your next trip.

You do not need to arrange any real travel or share private plans to explore it.

I am especially interested in one uncomfortable question:

At what exact moment would you close the website and never come back?

Maybe something looks confusing. Maybe there are not enough people yet. Maybe you would not trust the profiles. Maybe the whole concept has a flaw I have overlooked.

I would genuinely rather hear “I left after 20 seconds because ” than receive another polite “cool project.”

Registration is free, and beta works in mobile and desktop browsers.

Try it here: https://travelneighbors.com

If you test it, tell me what device you used and the first thing that frustrated you.

I will be reading the feedback and using it to decide what to fix next.

[iOS / Android / Web] TradeCrew: quoting and invoicing for small trade businesses, looking for beta testers

• Upvotes

I'm building TradeCrew, an app for one or two person trade shops (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, handymen, small contractors) to run the paperwork side of the business from their phone.

What it does today:

  • Write a quote on the phone and send it to the customer
  • Turn the job into an invoice
  • Take card payment through Stripe (1.2% platform fee)
  • Keep customers and jobs in one place
  • Same account on mobile and web

Looking for:

  • Tradespeople who quote and invoice their own jobs. You're the people I most want to hear from.
  • Anyone willing to run through signup and create a quote and an invoice, then tell me where it was confusing or broke.▎

It's on iPhone (TestFlight), Android (Google Play testing) and the web.

Sign up here and I'll send you access: https://tradecrew.app/beta?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=alphaandbetausers

Blunt feedback is the most useful kind. I'll answer questions in the comments.

[IOS, Beta] Building a nutrition app that combines food, supplements, and bloodwork - looking for early beta testers

Hey everyone!

I'm a computer science student building Countly, a nutrition app focused on helping people understand what nutrients they're actually getting from their diet.

I've noticed that a lot of food trackers focus heavily on calories and protein, but it can be harder to understand how your food, supplements, and bloodwork fit together.

We're building Countly to bring those together in one place.

The goal is to help users:

Track calories, macros, vitamins, and minerals

Track supplements alongside food intake

Understand possible nutrient gaps over time

Get food-first recommendations that fit their goals

Track bloodwork results and how it changes over time

We're still developing the app, and I'm looking for people interested in testing an early version and giving feedback. Everyone on the early-access list will get 3 months of premium for free when the app launches.

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who currently use apps like MyFitnessPal or Cronometer, regularly take supplements, or track their bloodwork.

I'd love feedback on what's useful, what's confusing, and what features you'd actually use.

If you're interested, you can join the early-access list here: https://trycountly.app

Also happy to answer questions or hear what you wish your current nutrition tracker did differently.

Thanks!

[iOS + Android] Storm Sensei: lightning alerts for your exact spot, not the nearest city. Free, no account. Looking for beta feedback

I’m the solo developer. I built this after watching golfers in Citrus County, north of Tampa, scramble off a course as a storm rolled in with no real way to know when to leave. I’m a weather enthusiast, not a meteorologist and not a good golfer, so I built the tool I wanted.

You pick your golf course once, and it checks lightning and severe-weather conditions at that spot. It tells you in plain language whether it’s clear, worth watching, or time to go in. You also get distance, direction, speed, and estimated arrival time. Alerts push even when the app is closed. It’s free, with no account, no email, and no ads.

How it decides: fixed rules set the alert level from strike distance and storm arrival time. An AI writes the explanation, and it can only make an alert more cautious, never less.

What I’d like from you:

  • Do setup, course search, and notifications work on your phone?
  • Is anything confusing or wrong in the alerts?
  • If you’re in Florida, the Gulf Coast, or Texas, you may catch real storms this season. Elsewhere it’s pretty quiet this time of year, but you can still check it out to see if it's accurate.

Use the feedback page at stormsensei.com/contact.html to let me know what you think.

Honest limits: continental US only. It’s a beta, and a decision aid, not a replacement for official warnings or your own judgment. In backtesting against 295 confirmed storms (grading criteria set before running), the detection engine caught about 7 in 10 using satellite data alone, which is the weakest sensor. Full method, including the misses: https://stormsensei.com/assets/Storm_Sensei_Lightning_Detection_White_Paper.pdf (plain-English summary: stormsensei.com/testing-summary.html )

Exploring Ai so thought I’d help those who were looking to start themselves

I’ve been spending a lot of time exploring AI and trying to turn it into something useful rather than just messing around with different tools.
I’ve actually started building a small website called Solid Trade Media, where I’m putting together beginner-friendly guides for people who want to explore AI side hustles.
It’s been a learning curve, especially figuring out what beginners genuinely need rather than just throwing more information at them.
For those already using AI, what do you wish you’d known when you first started? I’m always looking for ways to make my resources more useful.

[Android Beta] Goalify: goals, habits, to-dos and a focus timer in one app. Looking for testers for 20 days.

Hi! I’m Priyank, a solo developer, and I’m looking for Android testers for my app Goalify before it launches on the Play Store.

What it is

Goalify takes a big goal and turns it into small daily steps. It puts the rest of your day in the same place: habits with streaks, to-dos, a calendar and a Pomodoro focus timer. Cubi, a small planning buddy, keeps you company along the way. It works offline and syncs when you’re back online.

How you’d use it day to day

Sign in with an email code or Google.

Add a goal (for example “Run a 5K”) and break it into steps.

Add a couple of habits you want to build (for example “Read 10 min”).

Each morning, open Today to see your steps, habits and to-dos together, then check them off.

When it’s time to work, start a focus session. Pick a sound like rain, lock your phone, and the timer keeps going on your lock screen.

Keep your streak alive, and look at Plan and the calendar to see your week.

What I’d love you to test

Signing in, both by email code and by Google

Creating goals, steps, habits and to-dos. Does it feel quick and clear?

Reminders and notifications. Do they arrive on time?

The focus timer with the screen locked, and sounds playing in the background

Home screen widgets

Offline use: add things without internet, then reconnect

Anything confusing, slow, broken or ugly, and anything you love

How to join

Go to https://goalify.dev and join the Android beta waitlist. Use the email of your Google Play account.

Your invite arrives within 24 hours. In Gmail, check the Promotions tab.

In the invite, tap Join the test, then Install Goalify.

Keep the app installed for at least 20 days. Google requires this before a new app can launch. Using it a few times a week is plenty.

Send feedback by replying to the invite email or by commenting here. I read every message.

I genuinely appreciate it. Every tester gets Goalify one step closer to launch, and your feedback shapes what it becomes. Thank you! 🙏

I built a small AI music chart designed to be hard to game. Looking for 20–30 founding creators to test it with real ears.

Most music charts I’ve seen reward volume: more uploads, more plays, more likes, however you get them. I wanted to see if a chart could reward something else — whether people actually listened.

That question turned into a small site I’ve been building on my own — A+I CHART. Here’s how it works:

One song per creator every seven days, so nobody wins by flooding.

The score (SRS, out of 100) is built from four listener responses: how much of the song people heard, how long they stayed, the share of real listeners who liked it, and whether they came back to it.

A listen only counts after 30 seconds of real listening, verified on the server. Your own plays never count, multiple accounts on one device don’t stack, and a like only counts if that person actually listened.

Small-sample correction: songs with only a few listeners are pulled toward a common baseline, so two enthusiastic friends can’t put a song at #1. A song needs 10 different eligible listeners before it’s ranked.

No human ranking. Charts update once a day at midnight (KST), and I don’t touch them.

I’m a solo creator-developer, and the site is free and non-commercial.

Here’s the honest state of things: I’ve only just finished building it, and the chart is empty. No rankings yet, no #1, no history — just the rules, waiting for songs and listeners. Since a song needs 10 real listeners to be ranked, the first group of creators will literally write the chart’s first page.

That’s what I’m hoping to do with 20–30 of you: upload one song you truly care about, listen to each other’s work, and fill this chart together from the very beginning. And if you spot a way to game it, or a rule that feels unfair, tell me now — it’s far easier to fix while the chart is still empty.

aplusichart.com — Google sign-in, 14+. Uploads need the source link and a paid-plan screenshot (rights reasons).

[Web, Free] $13,517 on paper from a bot that loses 3 trades in 4. Does this card read as honest?

This is the card one of the house paper bots on my app prints for itself. Paper money, simulated, not advice.

The rule, in one sentence: on 30-minute bars, when a stock is already in an uptrend, MACD crosses up on a day it's up 2% or more with volume above normal and RSI still in the middle of its range, buy calls.

What the card shows since 2 Sep: +$13,517 over 27 trades, and only 7 of them won. One stretch in mid September did most of the work, you can see the step in the curve. The rest is a slow grind of small losses and a few winners.

The doubt I can't get past: 27 trades is nowhere near enough, and a curve with one big step is exactly what luck looks like. It hasn't met a bad tape for calls yet either.

So the feedback I'm after is about the card, not the bot. Does showing win rate, trade count and that step make it read as honest, or does the green number at the top drown everything else out? What would you want on it before you believed any of it?

How Quantradin helps with this: it's the app I built for exactly this loop. You describe a rule like the one above, it gets tested on actual market history with every option fill taken on the far side of the spread, and whatever survives runs as a paper bot that prints a card like this one. Free, paper only, American stocks and their options. quantradin.com

[iOS, Android, Beta] DMV written-test prep app with 3D video lessons, practice tests and exam simulation

Studying for a DMV written or permit test usually means reading the handbook and working through question banks. Often you get a question wrong and never find out why you picked the wrong answer.

Epic Auto School is a test-prep app for that situation. It's in beta, runs on iPhone and Android, and has courses for California, Texas, Florida and New York.

What it includes:

  • Interactive 3D video lessons that pause to ask you questions as you go
  • Practice tests with explanations that cover why the right answer is right and what may have led you to the wrong one
  • An exam simulation so you can do a full run-through before the real written test

You can try the first five lessons for your state on the website, and the app has free practice tests. The full course requires an in-app subscription. It is not affiliated with or approved by any DMV.

Link (takes you to the app for your phone): https://epicautoschool.com/

Feedback we'd like:

  • Do the questions in the middle of lessons help you learn, or do they get in the way?
  • Are the explanations for wrong answers clear and useful?
  • Was anything confusing about getting from the link to the app or the lessons?

If you've studied for a permit test before, in any state, what helped you most and what was missing? And if you've posted your own product here, leave a link in the comments and I'll test it too.

Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the Epic Auto School team.

We turned CAPTCHA into a tiny game catalog instead of one static puzzle, curious what people think

One thing we didn't want was a single boring challenge everyone sees a thousand times. So Caputchin ships as an open catalog of small games instead. Different games rotate in, and you can pick which ones show up on your site, or re-skin one to match your brand entirely.

There's also an SDK if you want to build your own game and add it to the catalog.

Range goes from quick reaction-based games to some genuinely fun ones—yes, "can it run DOOM" is a real question here, and the answer is yes, it's in the marketplace.

Curious if this feels like a gimmick to people here or if variety actually matters for something as low-attention as a CAPTCHA. What's your take?

[Web beta] Managing multiple credit cards? Looking for feedback on CredZero, a simple bill tracker

Hey everyone — I'm the builder of CredZero, and I'm looking for the first 100 people to try it and help me figure out what's useful and what's confusing.

It's a web app for tracking credit card statements, payment due dates, EMIs/installments, and shared bills. You enter your card's billing details rather than connecting your bank account.

I'd especially like feedback from people who juggle two or more cards or currently use a spreadsheet or reminders to keep track of payments.

A small test I'd love help with: add two cards (made-up amounts and dates are fine), then see whether you can quickly tell what's due next. If you split bills, try adding someone else's share and marking it paid.

What I'd like to know:

• Was it clear where to start?

• Could you tell what you owe and when?

• What would stop you from using it again next month?

Try it here: https://credzero.tynie.app

It's free to try in your browser. Feedback in the comments is welcome — even a quick “I got stuck at this step” helps. If something breaks, please mention your device and browser, but don't share real financial details here.

Working on an app idea I have. But, would you use this app?

Hi guys. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in the idea of an app I'm already developing. Already have like a small prototype that I want to launch in a few days for beta testers. But before fully committing, I wanted to know if it is something people would like to use.

Basically, a free app in which people can keep track of their assets (think of an RTX 5090, for example, which is my case) and calculate their estimated net worth based on the amount of assets they have recorded. Let's say you put a MacBook, a car, a phone, etc...

Then, an AI that searches the market, or maybe a simple calculation, could determine the current price of the object you are recording (age of the product, use, etc.), and it would automatically update prices in real time or once a day.

Would like to know if people would really want to use this as an app they would like to use, before going all in into it.

Thank you!

PD: If you are interested, I created a Discord: https://discord.gg/ETd7s4eZ8 I would love to see some support and maybe even help with picking a name for the app lol.
